The Department of Homeland Security has tripled its "exit bonus" for undocumented migrants who voluntarily depart the United States through self-deportation, increasing the financial incentive from $1,000 to $3,000 for those who register with the U.S. government and depart the country by the end of the calendar year.
DHS says all qualified participants who leave by Dec. 31, 2025, will also receive free airfare to their home countries and be waived of certain civil fines or penalties tied to remaining illegally in the U.S., if they voluntarily self-deport using the rebranded CBP Home app. The smartphone app is modeled off the Biden administration's CBP One platform.

In this case the person would take the money and then return by another route and repeat the process again.
From what I have heard, I don’t think you get paid until you arrive home after a month.
I’d rather they take the 3k budget and fund more extreme removal efforts
This would be illegal. All of the ambulance and burrito truck chasing shysters and their aCLU butt buddies have convinced all low I.Q. maggots that these people aren’t “undocumented miggies”. They’re your Mexican flag waving/American flag burning patriotic “neighbors” guzzling Cerveza and listening to mariachi.
stupid policy, they will simply take the money and take a free ride home and $3,000 and then return later
I say part of the dealio is that we put one of those chips in you like the vet does.
They might leave but then sneak back again. Not to mention this could get expensive if many take up this offer. Just punish any business with a huge fine if are caught employing illegals. That’s the simple and easy solution. Cut off the money (including welfare) and they will self deport.
“ If determined to be eligible, DHS officials say they will receive travel assistance plus the $3,000 paid stipend once the U.S. government confirms the individual has left the country. ”

Next to zero chance for the scam you suggest.
The previous ones who only got $1,000 are probably sorry they didn’t wait longer.
And they are -discussing- giving US taxpayers a 2000 dollar check. But illegals get 3k right away. And that’s 3k per family member illegal.
A finger to the taxpayer.
What do you mean, they’ll return via the border that 95% fewer people are getting through? As a taxpayer I’ll take those odds
Me, my family’s been in what is now the US since the 1590’s. 10th generation US citizens, as my seventh great grandmother lived at St Louis and became a citizen with the Louisiana Purchase. Still, 3 grand is pretty sweet and I may take it myself!
My wife and I are currently building a house. Probably 80% of the subs are wetbacks. Two guys today were out putting in wood flooring. They didn’t speak a word of English. They had better hope they don’t get pulled over for a traffic violation. From what we have heard, the illegals are only working every other day as they think it decreased their odds of getting pinched.
I don’t remember the exact number, but it’s more than $15K each to hunt them down and deport them. Doing the same for $3k + a plane ticket is a bargain
These are septic tank floaters who paid the ACME Human Trafficking Coyotes $7500 to smuggle them into America. They are getting more than $3000 per month in their Uncle Sammy’s “A Better Life” cellphone ATMs. To them, 3K is chump change.
That’s nice. Illegals get 3,000 per illegal family member. US citizens get 2000 per family ... maybe.
Why don’t you report them?
I have wait until they finish the floors first!
Take the money out of Joe Braindead’s retirement - and if the funds are insufficient, then drain his entire estate and that of his corrupt family. That butt wipe brought the illegals into the U.S.- so he should pay the fare to remove them.
