Brown University and MIT gunman's autopsy reveals how long he had been dead during massive manhunt
Brown University and MIT gunman Claudio Neves Valente had been dead for two days before he was found by law enforcement, his autopsy reveals.
The body of Neves Valente, 48, a former Brown student and Portuguese national, was discovered Thursday evening after a six-day manhunt.
Investigators believe he is responsible for fatally shooting two students and wounding nine others at Brown, and then two days later killing Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) professor Nuno F G Loureiro.

Where’s Mutstafa and his social media and why did Brown completely scrub any page with him on it?
Most of us could walk into the garage, take a whiff and figure it out.
They were patting themselves on the back from their very first press conference.
Dude was a very special kind of crazy. There must be psychiatric records somewhere.
In most of those pics you can see him talking to somebody on his cellphone. Isn’t anybody interested in his contact list. I suppose he could’ve been asking Gronk for local restaurant recommendations or something but it seems likely he was in contact with somebody before and after the shootings.
The probably picked him up at the morgue, put a bullet in his head, and dumped him there.
“There must be psychiatric records somewhere.”
Those are currently being manufactured.
Lol.
The Fey Mayor and his "husband". The 3 million dollar per year Lady President of Brown who makes Edith Bunker look like Einstein. The chief of police who can barely speak English "My name Jose Jimenez". Laura saw them for the complete clowns that they are.
Ha.
My initial suspicion is he was a paid assassin and the organization that paid him silenced him as well ( in other words he did not kill himself ).
I am sure they did.
They were waiting around for a search warrant. He was found in a vacant unit. His unit was locked. They could not go in without a warrant.
(Yeah, I know…dude was dead.)
I guess they had to take the step in case it was a conspiracy.
From the outside? How do you lock it from the inside?
From what I understand
His unit was locked.
He was found in a vacant unit that was unlocked.
Is this right?
My guess is someone at Brown.
Was it really locked from the outside?
FR needs to look into this!
Agree
Timeline: Stays in Boston hotel Nov 27-30, rents a car on Dec 1, cases Brown site from Dec 1 to Dec 12 (???), commits murder at Brown on Dec 13, drives to Boston area on Dec 13/14, kills the Professor in Brookline on Dec 15 (~8 pm), drives to New Hampshire on Dec 15 after 8 pm to the storage facility while taking every measure to avoid detection, even using fake Maine plates (pre-meditated escape plan?). Which indicates desire to disappear, not to end his life. Then decides to commit suicide on Dec 16. Why did he do it in NH, and not somewhere closer to Boston? One may argue that he realized that his attempt to escape failed and authorities ready to catch him. Only at the time of his death there was no indication that Keystone cops knew anything about him, as they only received a tip from “John” on Dec 17.
It is tempting to consider the alternative scenario: he drives to NH to get help in his escape from New England and gets “help” in his “suicide” instead...
He evidently locked it before he left. He was dead in another unit.
