Iranian state-controlled media has begun publishing several accusations that the Bondi Beach shooting was orchestrated by Israel as a false flag operation.
Mehr News Agency accused the "Zionist regime" of orchestrating the attack as a false-flag operation to advance its interests.
Senior IRGC figure Mohammad Reza Naghdi, a top adviser to the Guards' commander, echoed this narrative in a statement carried by Fars News. He argued that Israel was the "sole beneficiary" of the shooting, claiming it would suppress pro-Palestinian protests in Australia - where Sydney has seen significant demonstrations - and bolster narratives of Jewish insecurity to encourage emigration to Israel.
Naghdi posed rhetorical questions about the choice of target, implying the attack on civilians and a place of worship diverted attention from Gaza and ultimately aided Israeli goals.
Even outlets considered more moderate, such as Tabnak, suggested the incident was staged to revive claims of antisemitism and potentially harm Iran's position internationally.
Despite the Iranian Foreign Ministry officially denouncing the attack, several of the state media outlets took a different tone, celebrating the attack and the casualties it caused. The sentiments were widely echoed on loyalist social media. Some of the posts included alleged social media profiles of the terrorists, claiming to show that they were Jewish...

First they denounce it officially. Then their media and social media celebrate it. Now it’s a false flag to get Aussie Jews to immigrate to Israel. That’s probably happening anyway. You know, my Aussie friend (living in Israel) tells me that Coala Bears are not at all cute. They’ll rip your face off if you rile them. The police, however, are cute. They just sit there and do nothing for long minutes during a mass shooting.
Just because they are state-controlled Iranian media, are they necessarily wrong?
They would have the burden of proof, whether they’re state-controlled or not. Fantastical narratives like this have an extra-heavy burden of proof.

The problem is that a large number of otherwise REASONABLE people will believe this. Now if they said that the Australian GOVERNMENT did this as a false flag, that would be possible, since we already see the fallout (more Fascism there, and more gun control).

No, but Israel wasted no time publicly blaming Iran for the attack even though the attackers themselves were Salafi Sunnis.
Iran condemned the attack when it happened and then got falsely accused of organizing it, effectively casting suspicion away from the true perpetrators.
Only the islanist mind could come up with that one.
I do not disspute that there is duplicity and misinformation on multiple sides, including Israel’s.
Israel putting out their own false narrative for its own reasons does not make the slaughter of 15 innocent Jews a false flag operation.
No...but it puts this new Iranian claim into some context. They were falsely accused and responded in kind.
