CHICAGO (WLS) -- A federal appeals court is blocking the release of hundreds of people detained by immigration agents during "Operation Midway Blitz" in the Chicago area, at least for now.
The case centers around whether the government violated a consent decree banning warrantless arrests in certain cases.
The appeals court said each detainee's case should be evaluated individually.
A federal judge has ordered the release of hundreds of migrants arrested in the Chicago area, including some arrested under the Department of Homeland Security's "Operation Midway Blitz," by Nov. 21 after finding their arrests could have violated a 2022 consent decree.

You don’t need a warrant to make an arrest.
Our judiciary is so worthless, and filled with skanky judgettes who do EVERYTHING “temporarily” and “just for now.” I can’t believe we’ve made all the braindead maggots with college attendance certificates our “judgies.”
A 2022 consent decree was likely agreed to by a corrupt judge and Biden’s DOJ.
If it’s a felony, and the arrest is based of sufficient probable cause then you’re right. If they’re a subject of a removal order that can take the functional place of a warrant.

There is no Constitutional right to only be arrested with a warrant.
Constitutional “rights” such as warrants are for citizens.
Warrantless arrests happen all the time.

Apparently illegals have more rights than citizens. But we already knew that.
Consent decrees should not override law.
We need a systematic review of all consent decrees involving the government.
One of Biden’s, et al, most devious moves was to pack the judiciary with evil leftist judges.
These judges are not exposed to criminal illegals the way the rest of us are, which is too bad.
