Incumbent Mayor Tim Keller won the runoff election and will lead Albuquerque for another four years, according to unofficial election results from Tuesday's municipal election.

With 58% of the vote by 8 p.m. Tuesday, Keller — first elected in 2017 — bested challenger Darren White to become the city's first consecutive three-term mayor.

The mayoral race focused largely on Albuquerque’s crime rate, homelessness, housing and economic development.

Keller, a Democrat who has served as state auditor and in the state Legislature, defended his record and campaigned on the need for follow-through. White said he offered a changing of the guard for voters to “clean up the mess” Keller’s administration has created.

Albuquerque has no end of problems with top grade meth labs, out of control cartels, and an illness that takes away your individuality and free will. All in accord with Democrat policy.

Albuquerque has the highest crime rate in NM, which has the highest crime rate in the US.

Vox populi insipiens, vox diabolus. It's what they want, let 'em have it.

“With 58% of the vote by 8 p.m...”

Interesting it required a runoff that the second vote had one of the candidates at 58% just a few hours before polls closed. How was the original election itself that close to require a runoff?

There were five or six candidates. None reached the required minimum to win on Election Day. Only one Republican (White) who was squishy on conservatism.

30 years ago Albuquerque was my favorite city.

Now I won’t even go there.

Both Marxists.

The mayoral race focused largely on Albuquerque’s crime rate, homelessness, housing and economic development...

So the people re-elected Keller to maintain the crime rate, homeless, housing and economic development problems.

The left is sick.
