Susie Wiles: Trump Will Campaign for 2026 Midterms ‘Like It’s 2024 Again’
Breitbart ^ | 12/08/2025 | ELIZABETH WEIBEL

Posted on 12/09/2025 6:25:19 AM PST by SmokingJoe

White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles revealed that President Donald Trump will get out and “campaign like it’s 2024 again” for the 2026 midterm elections.

During an interview on The Mom View, Wiles spoke about the 2026 celebration of the 250th anniversary of the United States, the 2026 Winter Olympics, and the FIFA World Cup. Wiles also referenced how, instead of focusing on localizing the midterm elections, the Trump administration would turn that approach “on its head.”

“This is such a great time for him to be in office,” Wiles said. “He’s such a patriot. He loves it so much. He’s going to have a fun next year, but, we’re going to put him on the campaign trail, too. Typically — just a little bit of campaign speak, if I may.”

Wiles went on to explain that “in the midterms, it’s not about who’s sitting at the White House,” but about localizing the election and keeping “the federal officials out of it.”

“We’re actually going to turn that on its head,” Wiles shared. “And, put him on the ballot because so many of those low propensity voters are Trump voters. And, we saw, a week ago Tuesday, what happens when he’s not on the ballot and not active. So, I haven’t quite broken it to him yet, but he’s going to campaign like it’s 2024 again.”

Wiles’s comment comes a week after Rep. Matt Van Epps (R-TN) won a special election for Tennessee’s 7th congressional district.

Add in the redistricting in deep red states and a possible amendment/repeal of Voting Rights Act and we are probably going to keep control pf the House
If Bush Jnr can do it, Trump can certainly do it.
He's far tougher than Bush.

He needs to or its impeachment nonsense again. I also like the idea of having a midterm convention.

Grok:

Yes, George W. Bush (Bush Jr.) won his first midterm elections in a very strong way.
2002 Midterm Elections (held November 5, 2002):
Republicans gained seats in both the House and the Senate.
House: Republicans picked up +8 seats (net).
Senate: Republicans flipped control by gaining +2 seats (net), taking a 51–49 majority.
This was extremely rare. The president’s party almost always loses seats in midterm elections (especially in a president’s first term). In fact, 2002 is the only midterm since the Civil War in which the president’s party gained seats in both the House and Senate during their first midterm.

I’m not worried about impeachment in the House.
It will die in the US Senate anyway.
As usual.

Did G.W. Bush have any advantages that helped him keep the House majority that President Trump lacks for 2026?

He’s only one man and busy with what we elected him to do. By next year, the public will need another dose of Trump-mania.

The strong Republican performance was widely attributed to:
High approval ratings for Bush after 9/11 (still around 65–70 % in late 2002)
The national focus on the War on Terror
The run-up to the Iraq War (which had broad public support at the time)

Of course Bush didn't do redistricting.
Trump is doing massive redistricting.
And Voting Rights Act could be repealed.
Plus Republicans have more money right now than the Dems.
Plus Trump is a much better campaigner than Bush ever was.

Will campaign? He needs to start yesterday. The war chest must be massive because the Democrats will be spending like there’s no tomorrow.

Nonsense. The GOP(e) will have its head handed back on a platter. The Rats are going to enjoy a blow-out, and anyone who thinks otherwise is whistling past the graveyard.

While it is beyond question that Trump (and a select few of his cabinet secretaries) are working their butts off for the American people, the sad reality is he over-promised in the campaign and is now failing to deliver. That’s electoral death, particularly with the fickle, instant results-demanding MAGA crowd.

Add to that the fact his administration (and more notably, the Republican Congress) has done next to nothing to reform even the most egregious and flagrant election violations and cheating means the disgusting commies will gaslight the hell out of the idiots all summer long and the Rats win again.

It’s just more of the same ‘ol, same ‘ol...

Good idea to campaign. Not a good idea to do nothing about the Democrat cheat machine.

Despite the actions of DOGE earlier this year, it is probable that Federal funds are still being laundered through nonprofits to the Democrats. Tom Steyer, Alex Soros, and other leftist billionaires are still writing checks to Democratic candidates from U.S. Senator to dogcatcher. Then we have cartel money and funds coming from foreign adversaries, like China, Russia, Iran, Venezuela, and North Korea, laundered through back channels.

President Trump still lacks effective control of the Federal law enforcement apparatus. Over ten months and no indictments, except for those of James Comey and Leticia James, which may have been sabotaged by leaks from the "resistance" in the DOJ to the legacy media. Yes, Trump should campaign hard, but he needs to read the riot act to the leadership of the DOJ and FBI: investigate, indict, or resign before they are fired.

If the inflation rate doesn’t start heading back in the right direction and quickly, November might be ugly no matter how hard he campaigns.

Trump is doing massive redistricting.
And Voting Rights Act repeal will see off the Democrats. Other Republican Presidents sat down and got robbed by Democrats. Trump is much tougher.

“it is probable that Federal funds are still being laundered through nonprofits to the Democrats. Tom Steyer, Alex Soros, and other leftist billionaires are still writing checks to Democratic”

Yeah?
So how come they have far less cash on hand than before and are borrowing money all over the place?

“Then we have cartel money and funds coming from foreign adversaries, like China, Russia, Iran, Venezuela, and North Korea, laundered through back channels.”

Cartel money huh?
Same cartel Trump is blowing apart on the seas practically every day?
And what makes you think Russia or China or North Korea want Democrats to win?

“President Trump still lacks effective control of the Federal law enforcement apparatus.”

Right now Trump has total control of the executive.
And SCOTUS is about to hand him another win by reaffirming his power to fire any federal workers he wants to.
