Nigel Farage pulled out of Tucker Carlson interview
Spectator World ^ | 12/08/2025 | Cockburn

Is Britain’s upstart Reform party really as committed to free speech as they would have us believe? Tucker Carlson was meant to converse with leader Nigel Farage on his trip to London last week. But, Cockburn hears, Farage pulled out after the stateside controversy about Carlson’s recent choice to chat with “groyper” leader and bête noire Nick Fuentes.

Who knew the leading light of the British right would be so sensitive about “platforming?” Top Farage advisor James Orr, who also serves as an Anglo-whisperer for Vice President J.D. Vance, made excuses on Reform’s behalf.

“It’s the donors and consultants, always,” Carlson told Cockburn about the choice to pull out. “If you want to save your country, you have to ignore them.”

Tucker’s show – the 10th most listened to in the US on Spotify this year – hosted two other Englishmen instead: ex-Reform MP Rupert Lowe, a Farage rival, and Milo Yiannopoulos, who raved about how homosexuality isn’t real. What could be more British than that?

Nigel is afraid of a Tucker interview but Nigel has the courage to stand up to Muslim invaders?

Lol.

“Nigel is afraid of a Tucker interview but Nigel has the courage to stand up to Muslim invaders?”

My first thought. Pathetic. And we depended on him to save England. England is finished.

He also has nothing to do with Tommy Robinson. He is playing the political game. He misses a good chance to show what he has.

Who knew the leading light of the British right would be so sensitive about “platforming?”

Or perhaps he just cares about his integrity?

Standing up to Muslim invaders doesn’t mean that he has to jump in bed with wingnuts.

Maybe Farge felt like he would go to jail if he said the wrong thing in public?
