Jimmeh Carter approves.
Well at least they know what a woman is, so there’s that.
Stone age backwater since the 1980s.
The Persians need to rise up and rid themselves of the Islamic filth.
Didn’t I just read that Tehran has no water? Did they import tons of Gatorade?
We shouldn’t interfere with the Arabs who had the idea of women wearing veils if a lot of them looked like Helen Thomas.
Modestly veiled in public so only their husbands can see them in private at home.
Iran, perfect name for a marathon
RE: Chief Justice Gholamhossein Mohseni Ejei called for stricter enforcement.
His name plaque on the judicial bench takes up some of the witness seating area on the right as well as the court stenographer’s on the left.
Sort of like the folk song:
She’s long and she’s tall.
When she sleeps
her head’s out in the kitchen
but her feet are still in the hall.
“Get your biscuits in the oven and your buns into bed.”
“Long Black Veil” (Youtube)
Brawndo. It's got electrolytes.

Maybe they imported the FSU version: Seminade.
Thees iz terrible, women running in marathon with naked faces! the Prophet is rooling over is hees grave...🙄
Inspired by our exchange, I just watched Idiocracy (again). Now it’s 4AM and I gotta get up at 8. Oh well, it was worth it..... :-)
have never understood the wests obsession with what Iranian women wear given we have allies like the Saudis who require full abayas. My son in laws mother has travelled to Iran numerous of times, and says each time, it is one of the few countries as a female traveller she feels perfectly safe. I have good friends who go regularly because they’re half persian and from Tehran. Things have really liberalized, and you see young women walking around without any scarves at all.
From the article: "Earlier this week, a majority of lawmakers accused the judiciary of failing to uphold the hijab law. Chief Justice Gholamhossein Mohseni Ejei called for stricter enforcement."
So, maybe not for much longer ...
The organizers were subsequently caned to death upon the revelation that the unveiled women were also running in short shorts and sports bras.
After more and more incidents like this I can better understand why so many women in the US want to convert to Islam ... Riiiiiiight!
Thanks. Always good to hear a Johnny Cash song.
I remember buying that LP when it was new. Same with I Walk the Line.
