Soooooo, who y’all taking to win the whole enchilada?
I say it’s going to be France and Argentina with the Frogs taking the whole thing.
France’s bench is too deep for anyone else to compete. If Argentina loses either Alverez or Fernandez... they’re screwed. Messi isn’t what he used to be.
France could lose Griezmann and Tchouameni and still be good to go. Losing Mbappe would be tough for them to recover from though.
I like Spain.
But watch out for Brazil with this Estevao kid. He put on a show against Yamal and Barcelona, in the Champions League.

All I know is, I hope Scotland plays some games here in Dallas, that’s where the party will be. Every agrees they are the best fans.
It does not matter to me who this “peace award” is going to.
The idea of a sports association offering a peace award, just does not make such an award authentic, to me.
Must have been bought by some kind of deal.
Are there not enough soccer fans to fill up the 100K seat stadiums like we do every Saturday for college football? Think about the rest of the world and all of the other soccer matches besides World Cup. Only three 100K seat stadiums in the whole rest of the world for soccer and cricket, compared to eight 100K seat stadiums in our country alone for college football. And yet we're supposed to believe that soccer has some sky high fanaticism?
Heh, EuroSocialists are kind of screwed now ....
Brazil is always a contender and... they won a couple of times. LOL! I think Estevao is good, but he’s not on the same level with Junior, Rodrygo and Casemiro (El Jeffe).
Aye, deyed love a wee game in Texas — especially Dallas wi’ aw yer cowboys. But by the looks o’ it, we’ll hae tae teach ye how tae drink first, I reckon.”
This is one of my favorite YT Channels.

The 100K college football stadiums are mostly in smaller cities without the tourist infrastructure that FIFA would be looking for.
Those stadiums also typically have bench seating that works for student sections but would not enable FIFA to charge the extremely high prices they want to charge.
Basically
I totally disagree. Sports have always been a great vehicle to break down the barriers which divide. It is common place to see competitors after the game or race embrace and show respect for one another. I was at the 1972 Olympics in Munich and 1976 in Montreal. Athletes from around the world were seen there in Olympic Village in conversation with one another, eating and dancing with one another - making friends. Their governments may have been at odds, but the athletes were open - in many cases. The exceptions were the Communist countries like East Germany, Cuba and USSR. Their athletes under tight control

And what peace award was handed out to anyone?? None.
And your whole description has what to with handing out a peace award? Nada.
Agreed. The Nobel Prize for peace is a political farce.
If we want an alternative, a sports venue is not the one.
I’m thinking Spain as well.
