“There is more to the invasion than just people”
Yes! A ton more.
“Tim Walz is not a charged participant in the Minnesota Somali fraud cases,” but he is facing federal investigations into his administration’s handling and oversight of the state programs from which the funds were stolen.
Federal prosecutors have charged at least 86 individuals, many of Somali descent, in connection with schemes that stole more than $250 million (and potentially up to $1 billion across various programs) in federal and state funds, particularly from a child nutrition program during the COVID-19 pandemic. Over 50 people have been convicted.
The Somali fraud involved creating sham nonprofits that billed for meals and services that were never provided, with some funds allegedly diverted overseas to a terrorist group, al-Shabaab.
Allegations Against Walz: A group purporting to represent hundreds of Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) employees has alleged that Governor Walz’s administration was “100% responsible” for the “massive fraud” by ignoring early warnings from whistleblowers and retaliating against those who raised concerns.
Critics, including President Trump and other Republicans, claim Walz’s administration was reluctant to act for political reasons.
The U.S. Treasury Department and the House Oversight and Accountability Committee have launched investigations into Walz’s handling of the fraud and the alleged diversion of funds to a terror organization.
Walz has stated that his administration is actively prosecuting offenders, welcomes the federal investigation, and has implemented measures to combat fraud. He has also pushed back against what he calls “demonizing an entire community” based on the actions of a few individuals.
In short, the existing criminal charges are against the individuals who perpetrated the fraud, not against Walz directly. The current federal probes are focused on his administration’s alleged negligence and failure to stop the fraud sooner.
Federal authorities are planning an ICE operation in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area of Minnesota that will focus on targeting undocumented Somali immigrants who have final deportation orders.
This comes after Trump announced the termination of Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for Somalis living in the US and after Trump made critical remarks about the Somalis in Minnesota.
Target of the Operation: The ICE operation, expected to begin early December 2025, is primarily focused on individuals with final deportation orders. A federal official mentioned that hundreds of people are expected to be targeted.
Last month, President Trump said he was terminating the Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for Somali migrants, which is a legal safeguard against deportation for people from countries deemed unsafe. According to a report produced for Congress, about 705 Somalis in the U.S. held this status nationwide.
President Trump’s announcement followed claims of “Somali gangs” and “billions of dollars” in fraudulent activity, without providing specific evidence. These claims have been widely condemned by local Minnesota officials, including Mayor Jacob Frey and Governor Tim Walz, who defend the community’s contributions to the state’s economy and culture.
The news has caused significant fear and concern within Minnesota’s large Somali community. Local leaders have rallied in support of the community, calling the operation “terrorizing” and stressing the importance of due process.
Let’s be real, Somalians are not much more than a violent African tribe. Why would we want people coming to this country where there is a “DO NOT TRAVEL ADVISORY”
Terrorism: There is an extreme threat of terrorism throughout the country, with attacks occurring frequently and without warning. These attacks can involve car bombs, suicide bombers, and armed gunmen, and have targeted places frequented by foreigners, such as hotels, restaurants, and public areas.
Kidnapping: The risk of kidnapping is very high, and foreigners are specifically targeted. Westerners and workers for international organizations have been kidnapped.
Crime: High levels of crime, including armed robberies, carjackings, and murders, are common.
Civil unrest: Demonstrations occur frequently and can turn violent.
Health: Medical facilities are limited and have insufficient supplies. There are also active cholera outbreaks and chikungunya is prevalent, notes the CDC.
Infrastructure: Power and water are unreliable, and internet and telephone services are limited and unreliable outside of major cities.
Piracy: Pirate attacks and armed robbery against ships still occur in the coastal waters.
and suck on the government tit..
and steal form the same governement
THE SAME APPLIES THRU OUT ALL OF AFRICA
Yeah, like this "retarded" Democrat:
These 3rd world "migrants" and "refugees" come here to parasite off of the American taxpayer, as Trump says:
"An immigrant earning $30,000 with a green card would receive 'roughly $50,000 in yearly benefits for their family.'"
Amen.
MSGA!
(Ok, not so sure about the ‘A’ part, but the point stands)
Mexicans and other central/south American illegals are scamming far more money. There is no comparison to the amount of theft.
If these people are going to do nothing but tear down & destroy a country, it may as well be Somalia. So...yes, let’s send them home.
MSLFGS.......make Somalis LIVABLE For GODS SAKE !
In fiscal year (FY) 2023, the US committed $1.18 billion in foreign
aid to Somalia, while in FY 2024 it allocated over $1 billion tax dollars
<><>includes significant humanitarian and security assistance
<><>tax dollars for emergency response, conflict and security efforts,
<><>development tax dollars for health, agriculture, and education, etc.
Security assistance: The US has provided substantial security aid to Somalia and African Union forces in the country, totaling approximately $3 billion over the last decade.
