“—(BUSINESS WIRE)—According to preliminary insights from Mastercard SpendingPulse™, U.S. retail sales excluding autos were up +4.1% on Black Friday, November 28 compared to Black Friday 2024. Mastercard SpendingPulse measures in-store and online retail sales, representing all payment types, and is not adjusted for inflation.
This year’s Black Friday tells a story of comfort, connection, and savvy shopping as consumers prepare for meaningful moments with family and friends. Spending growth on apparel was particularly strong both online and in-store, suggesting shoppers refreshed wardrobes while leaning into value-driven choices and convenience.”
Not too interested in the mix of sales, online vs brick and mortar.
Am interested in the national total and its growth (vaguely heard something like 3.4% this morning) which would be just about exactly inflation (bearing in mind we have missed 2 months of CPI data, that was rising at that time).
ABC news broadcast announced yesterd, verbally, that sales were expected to be less than last year while the crawler at the bottom said at the same time that they expected record sales. I kid you not.
good ol’ “unexpected” is back?
Also weren’t the No Kings dbags calling for some type of “blackout” i.e. no purchases during this time period? Proves the “resistance” is Astroturf.

It says a lot when retail sales of imported goods is used to measure economic health. We used to get reports on factory production and output but now it’s how much debt “consumers” rack up.
They criminal liberal media also promoted the five day shopping boycott the left was pushing which started yesterday....this is beyond awesome...
Yep- see my post at #9....the the media was pushing it all over FB....
Lots of tarriff money being made this week.
SCOTUS is trying to ruin that.

Those dbags weren’t going to be spending money anyway no there is no spending loss to be calculated.
“the “resistance” is Astroturf.”
With online purchasing there is nobody to watch them virtue signaling.
Lol.
I didn’t...but I never do.

Video of leftists blocking shoppers.
Must be part of their “democracy”. (which mean mob violence to suppress rights of people with they disagree. I despise that word now.)

All I know is that the malls were PACKED with people..and this doll house that I want to get for my niece, it was not on sale at target so I figured OK I’ll wait til black friday maybe it will go down in price(It was 50 bucks I should have bought it when I had the chance) its SOLD OUT, and it was not even on sale, so Im so pissed at myself for not buying it for her
Everything has gone up. Which makes sales higher. They never mention that.
So the boycott failed:
