“Preserving our state’s natural beauty is deeply important to the millions who call the Sunshine State home, our visitors, and those whose livelihoods depend on tourism,” Moody wrote.

‘Not in my backyard’ is for hypocrites.
Drill baby drill, but not in MY backyard. Hypocrites.
The sky is falling, the sky is falling!! The enviro wackos are at it again! DRILL DRILL, DRILL, It will help heal the economy and assure America’s future.
“Florida’s beautiful beaches and coastal waters are so important to our state’s economy, environment, and military community, which is why I have fought for years to keep drilling off Florida’s coasts and worked closely with President Trump during his first term to extend the moratorium banning oil drilling off Florida’s coasts through 2032,” Scott wrote.
Oh shut up.
Drilling hasn’t permanently harmed the Gulf of America anywhere.
And you should know that.Even the Deepwater Horizon spill was relatively minor with no long lasting effects.
Its not like they are proposing rigs be set up in the Everglades...
Drilling off our beaches will flip FL Blue for ever .
The retired population will creamed the Gop for a life time .
Trump is clueless Yankee fool who needs to move back NY with his new Commie buddy .
Lets Donnie drop the his First Oil Rig Off his precious estate Mara Whatever in Palm Beach instead of the Bubba beaches in the panhandle .
He can serve caviler by the oil rigs lights. Do you vacation on those lovely beaches in LA and N Texas .
Sure thing .
Gulf coast ok but not my Atlantic beach coast.
Trump actually ran on "Drill baby, drill." Promises made. Promises being kept.
If Floridians are that fickle and are now upset Trump is doing what he got elected to do, then they never were Conservatives to begin with.
I wish they would drill for natural gas on my property.
I don’t recall the beaches of AL, LA and SOUTH Texas being polluted by the Deepwater Horizon blow out, which was a very large blowout. And I’m sure pretty much all Floridians know state waters only go out to 8 miles.
You don’t even know the gulf coast is in South Texas.
I think you’re a FOS Yankee Leftist from NC who uses other ppl’s homes to vacation then claim resident privileges like opining what FL wants or is good for it. Pretty apparent you just likes telling other ppl what they can or can’t do. A Karen
If you’re not eligible to vote in FL -legally, you should probably keep your piehole shut as to ‘what Floridians want’.
And The Hill is there stoking division, again.
No Rigs off S TX .
Its a Protected National seashore .
Lol .
You dope .
I was born in Sarasota FL .
Your not much of a spy either .
Lol .
Well it the reality .
They tried this 25 years ago and it was killed quickly .
FL beaches are our biggest Industry and prevents us from a income tax .
Its just political suicide .
Have Donnie Put a oil rig outside his mansion. lol .
I grew up in Jax. There was never anything particularly magical about that beach. Not even Fernandina.
Can the proposed oil rigs be seen from the beaches or are they too far out?
Go to Siesta Key or Pensacola or Panama Beach or Anna Marie Island or Venice Beach .
Uh huh.

State waters in TX go out to 9 miles. Probably why Trump is speaking of Federal waters.
Drilling rigs out of sight of the beaches, meaning beyond the horizon, is not the issue in Florida. Having a drilling rig in view of resort beaches is the problem for Florida.
Some of the proposed rigs are just 3 miles from the beach.
Went to Panama Beach quite a lot while at FSU, but Gator Point more often. Eh, they’re alright. Nothing a drilling rig a few miles offshore is going to ruin.
