My theory is that it was an intelligence operation. I doubt ANY administration would disclose to the public that a honeypot trap was run by a domestic or foreign ally intelligence agency using underage US citizens. At least while anyone involved is still sucking air. That’s what this looks like to me so far, but who knows.

So the fallout for any administration would be catastrophic for their agenda, completely taking the air out of the room and crashing the party in the polls, donations and elections. Even though he wasn’t involved when it was an active operation. Not to mention what the intelligence agencies might do. It’s not right but that’s political reality, I guess. If he vetoes it the political fallout is probably very similar.

I’m trying to figure out the Dems strategy. The Biden administration and the Dems had control of the files for 4 years, yet they never released anything.... Certainly if there is anything implicating Trump they would have been releasing all that or leaking it all to the NY papers and CNN etc etc. I suspect there are rich players on both political sides that are sweating right now.

Politico is certainly excited to have a circular Republican firing squad. Oh well, this will certainly be a refreshing change from maybe producing an actual budget or trying to restore America. This is what we really need as a country- DRAMA. Yeah, let’s just do this kind of stuff and then let the Democrats have the reigns of power back. Why waste time on meaningful legislation?
