Trainer Dale Romans Announces U.S. Senate Campaign (KY)
Paulick Report ^ | November 12, 2025

Posted on 11/12/2025 11:34:33 AM PST by ConservativeStatement

Independent Democrat and famed Kentucky horserace trainer Dale Romans today announced his campaign for U.S. Senate to stand up for working people across the state and fix the challenges facing our country like harmful tariffs and dangerous health care cuts – instead of waging exhausting partisan fights that get us nowhere and only divide the nation.

“I’ve been in Kentucky my entire life. It's the greatest place in the world and the heart of America. We need a Senator who reflects our people: not polished insiders or party-line politicians running the same old partisan nonsense, but someone who has built a career the hard way and lived the struggles that Kentucky’s working families face every day,” said Dale Romans. “To solve the challenges before us, we need a fix, not a fight. As an independent Democrat, I won't be beholden to the national party, and I won’t be a puppet of the president like a freshman Republican Senator would be. I love Kentucky, and I know our state needs a Senator in Washington focused on our people.”

--- "...harmful tariffs and dangerous health care cuts..." speaks DEMOCRAT costumed as an independent.

After all, Bernie the Commie Capitalist with three houses is an "independent."

Such naivete. Hey buddy boy would you vote for a tax increase on your rich buddies and investors?

This POS would fall in line so quickly his horse head would wind up in bed with Schmucker or AOC

It does but that BS sells. A well known horse trainer in KY, yeah I see him as a threat. People fall for that crap but he will vote right down the rat line.

There is no such thing as an “Independent DemonRAT”. They all work for the DNC and take their orders from there. Of the rabid, America-hating “Refugees” will get rid of your butt. See: Chuck Schumer.

There saying he’s an Independent Democrat. Which is immediately proven to be a lie by the cut and paste DNC talking points memo that follows. And here’s the icing g on the cake, He’s a recovering alcoholic Nancy Pelosi will surely back him with her Bless(hic)ing !

Heh, I’m not a big gambler nor do I “play the ponies”....

But, circumstances dragged me to a racetrack at Saratoga about 10 years ago and while no regular? Sure, I’ll spend a day at the track - mostly for the old-fashioned and juleps :-) - but I won a big jackpot on Keen Ice!

Not my game, pure luck, whatever... but I think like 15-1? By the time all the bets settled, well... let’s just say that me and the misses enjoyed some expensive meals with the best wine.

Stupid reason to vote for anyone and doesn’t matter anyway since I don’t live in Kentucky...

Good luck with that. I once bet on a horse which was running down the back stretch winning by eight lengths and the jockey fell off the horse. They placed him last but more importantly no one was hurt

I have heard a different version a few times with a horse named Giacomo that won the Ky. Derby at extraordinary odds. Anyone who had an Uncle Giacomo played him. :-)

Ha!

Like I said, no track expert. My wife’s family (grandpa on one side) did have horses so I have actually ridden - not racing mind you, but at least per a cousin “Not bad for a someone who has no clue”. I think (hope?) it was a compliment.

I do actually *like* to go to the races on occasion, been to the Derby a few times, Belmont, etc - but I’ll readily admit, I’m mostly there for the fine, fine bourbon :-)

Still, I at least understand the basics... mostly. At least, I know how to box a trifecta.

I looked it up - it was the 2015 Traverse Stakes with reigning triple crown winner American Pharoah. Ordinarily, I’m a 5-10 buck guy. A few fun bets. The company I was with kind of... peer pressured me?... into bigger bets than I’d ordinarily place.

Lucky as hell, I have no doubt. But somehow, some way, my mind just went to Keen Ice. I don’t know horses, but I’ll never forget Keen Ice because I went from “Damn, I think I got peer pressured into bigger bets than I’d usually place” to “Oh my... I think I just won a LOT of money!”

Such a rush.

Just amazing what some people will do, without regard for other’s health & safety. Will Romans be up against Rand Paul?

Yeah, right. No such thing as a truly independent Dem, not even Sen. Scoop Jackson and his modern political soulmate, Sen. John Fetterman.
