Public universities in Ohio, Michigan, Kentucky and Tennessee have been on notice for four years that they cannot force faculty to use students' preferred pronouns and may pay a steep penalty if they try. Last week, those states' K-12 schools got the same message as applied to student speech.
The full 6th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ordered a lower court to issue an "appropriately tailored preliminary injunction" that bans Ohio's Olentangy Local School District "from punishing students for the commonplace use of biological pronouns," as distinct from "the abuse of transgender students" in violation of harassment policies.
Half of the 10-judge majority also issued concurring opinions, while seven judges dissented on the core issue in the case: whether using correct pronouns for students who do not identify with their sex will likely disrupt the educational environment.
The Supreme Court makes clear that a "district may not restrict personal speech on matters of public concern unless the speech would 'materially and substantially disrupt' school activities or infringe the legal 'rights of others' in the school community," Judge Eric Murphy, nominated by President Trump, wrote for the majority, quoting the 1969 precedent Tinker.

I agree with the ruling as it should work both ways...
Of course i’ve come across a few people the past five years who announced their preferred pronouns, and how they should be addressed. My reply?
“I understand- i identify as religious royalty see please address me as “Your Holiness” moving forward- thank you”
The look on their faces after i made my request was worth $1 billion....
Similar to this - what if someone has a given name of Bob or Mary, but I insist on calling them by something completely different, such as “Pat?”
Or they prefer to use a nickname “Rusty” or “Skip” - but I insist on calling them by their given name?
Are these considered punishable offenses? Leftists are again wading deep in “stupid” territory.
I know a guy whose given name is Rusty...
I tell them that I don’t go to their church. They ask what do you mean? I say, you need a lot more faith to believe a woman is a man than in God.
“Y’ever notice there aren’t any Chinese guys named ‘Rusty’?” - George Carlin
Was he flaky?
No Country For Old Men, or Twilight of the Cavemen
I passed a young guy in the halls of the university ad building—he was in a dress, makeup, painted nails ... shoulders like a linebacker, 5 o’clock shadow, even a musky pole cat odor..
I knew it was too early for Halloween. I may have microaggressed him—’raped him with my eyes’ for staring a little too long.
I wouldn’t be able to call him ‘Miss’. Physically incapable. It was all I could do to not start laughing.
But this is a serious issue because where the left wields power, they penalize those who refuse to play along.
It’s time to stop this cross dressing bull**** where the rest of us are expected to go along with their delusions.
See my tagline.
Of course it’s not disruptive to tell the truth. Glad sanity is returning.
The case was sent back to U.S. District Judge Algenon Marbley in the Southern District of Ohio at Columbus
No Gibberish
Don’t force others to go along with the delusions of the mentally ill.
The three stooge [two stooges and a sane judge] panel:
U.S. Circuit Judge Stephanie Davis, a Joe Biden appointee, joined [Insane Jane] Stranch in the majority opinion. U.S. Circuit Judge Alice Batchelder, a George H.W. Bush appointee, penned her own 30-page dissent in which she argued cisgender students ought to be able to use “biological pronouns” when referring to their transgender peers. She likened being transgender to a political viewpoint, one which she found the school district’s policies enforced.
The banality of evil” is the idea that great evil can be perpetrated by ordinary, thoughtless people who follow orders and conform to a system, rather than by monstrous sadists.
This “transgender” stuff started just recently. Who is responsible for pushing it?
We can say ‘globohomo’ but that’s an ideology.
I’m pretty sure it is the same people pushing kultursmog drek on streaming TV, unbridled “immigration” into first world countries by 3rd worlders, and many other objectionable things.
G7? OK. Who is giving those countries and their leaders their marching orders?
To hear the troons tell it, a “wrong” pronoun could drive them to suicide.
I am under no obligation to call someone a fake pronoun.
I was at the Casino in Arkansas and one of these “its” came over to deal blackjack. Greasy looking thin hair going halfway down to their shoulders, overweight, over 40 and not remotely looking female. I got up and moved to another table.
30 minutes later “it” got shuffled to my new table, so I left for the night. I am under no obligation to play nice with these creatures. We used to help the mentally ill. Now we reward and encourage it.
Great news...my pronouns are Great American Trump Supporter. 😀
Indefinite pronouns: Refer to an unspecified person or thing, such as somebody, anyone, none, few, each, and on.
Like I have no idia what I am duh.
