I have met quite a few nice Somalis. But, beyond doubt, I believe that the admission of hundreds of thousands of Somali refugees has been a terrible mistake.
There is no definitive count on the precise number of Somali refugees there are here, which in itself is troubling, but living in a Blue city where they make up a significant voting bloc I can tell you that their influence on our politics has been poisonous.
Flashback to when Omar Fateh, Democrat mayoral candidate for Minneapolis, bragged about his involvement with the organization, Feeding Our Future, which was recently found guilty of a $250 MILLION pandemic fraud scheme. pic.twitter.com/LchyaaVgr1— Libs of TikTok (@libsoftiktok) July 21, 2025
All those fraud scandals you have been hearing about in Minnesota? Somalis. Ilhan Omar? Somali. There is a decent chance that the next Mayor of Minneapolis will be Somali, although there is a significant backlash coalition working to defeat him and re-elect Mayor Frey, who himself is running ads in Somali.

Somalis, to say the least, have not integrated into American political culture. Quite the opposite, they have brought the corruption and the intolerance that characterized Somalia right here into the United States, and seem quite pleased with the fact that they can abuse the social trust we extend to citizens. All told, they have easily scammed hundreds of millions of dollars, and perhaps billions, just in Minnesota.

The Minneapolis DFL is dominated by corrupt Somalis and their allies, and has a history of committing voter fraud. In fact, after the Minneapolis Democrats endorsed Omar Fateh over the incumbent mayor, the state DFL voided the endorsement because there were so many irregularities in the process that it was impossible not to.
Since Omar Fateh is now accused of cheating, here’s a reminder:
His brother-in-law, Muse Mohamed was convicted of lying to a grand jury about illegally handling absentee ballots tied to ballot harvesting.
Investigators later confirmed he did, in fact, handle those ballots.

Since the DFL (our Democrats) don't check citizenship, it is almost certain that many of the Somalis who showed up (and who couldn't speak English) were ineligible to vote, and the voter rolls themselves were corrupted.
Before the convention began, the Mpls DFL “lost” W5 books. During the convention the roster was unsecured. Nobody knows how many duly elected delegates there were for different candidates bc of all the manipulation underway. But when did you ever care about the truth?

Chaos at conventions has become a thing when Somalis are involved.
Ilhan Omar regularly tells Somalis that she represents Somalia, not Minnesota.
🚨HOLY COW: Ilhan Omar has called the President of Somalia "our president" at a Minneapolis rally.
"Somalia is our home. It is our heart. We always think about Somalia."
What is your response to this? pic.twitter.com/Q4joQHEwzc— Carter Hughes (@itscarterhughes) October 16, 2025
I have written a fair amount on the impact that Somalis have had here in Minnesota, and barely scratched the surface. It pains me to see so many women in a Western society wearing a niqab, and so many Somali men openly mocking Americans' credulousness. It pains me more that the Democrats in power are well aware of how destructive this community has been, and have chosen to cater to them.

And the poison is not just here in Minnesota. It is spreading to wherever Somalis settle in great numbers.

Ilhan Omar, when speaking to Somalis, is very clear where her loyalties lie, and it is a common theme among Somali refugees who travel freely back and forth between here and their home country, where they claim they are in danger.
Ilhan Omar caught AGAIN pledging her allegiance to SOMALIA.

Much of the fraudulent money stolen from taxpayers here winds up in Somalia, often funding terrorist groups. Some of the defendants in the Feeding Our Future fraud have either fled or tried to flee back to Somalia.
Maybe I'm the last person to learn this, but Abshir Omar, whose connections to the Feeding Our Future fraud are covered in this story, is Nasri Warsame's campaign manager.https://t.co/4lpnOhK4yz— Wedge LIVE!™ (@WedgeLIVE) May 14, 2023
Democrats have played footsie with the Somalis here because they are a concentrated voting bloc. It's the same reason why Labour in Britain has cozied up to the Islamists there—a raw political calculation that it serves an electoral purpose.
Somalia? Nope - this was a rally just held by Minneapolis Mayor Frey to support Somali independence in Ethiopia. pic.twitter.com/AkxU9z3zXn— End Wokeness (@EndWokeness) August 26, 2025
It is biting them in the butt, though. Somalis don't just want to be clients. They want to run things.

Unfortunately, that means turning American cities into Mogadishu.
No, it’s not the Babylon Bee.
The grim joke is on us.
Pledging allegiance to a foreign country is an overt breaking of the Naturalization oath and should result in loss of citizenship and deportation.
The Founding Fathers debated and decided to make sure only an American born here could become President. (a citizen at birth, either born on U.S. soil or born abroad to at least one U.S. citizen parent.) Kenya is close enough, though.
The Founders knew beyond their 1700s imaginations of France, Spain or England having designs on our country, there would be foreign interests and countries not yet born that would try to take us over.
“Application for
Naturalization” (Form N-400).
U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services website:
“The Oath of Allegiance
During the naturalization ceremony, you will take an oath to “absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign prince, potentate, state, or sovereignty”.
You also swear to support and defend the U.S. Constitution and to obey the laws of the United States.
The reality of dual citizenship
The U.S. does not require a citizen to choose between U.S. citizenship and another country’s citizenship.
Dual nationals owe allegiance to both the United States and the foreign country, and are required to obey the laws of both.”
I doubt they’re US citizens
High time to separate the wheat from the chaff……it’ll only get worse.
Dual citizenship does not allow a naturalized citizen to swear allegiance to a country other than the USA.
Must not be such a bad place.
Good.
The US provided over $1.2 billion in foreign aid to Somalia in fiscal year 2024, with allocations including security assistance, humanitarian aid, and funds for stabilization, resilience, and other development sectors.
Recent funding has focused on areas like food security, health, and strengthening Somali institutions, including support for both Somali and AU forces.
Total Aid: The United States provided over $1.2 billion in aid to Somalia in FY2024.
Significant funds were allocated for security assistance to both Somali and African Union forces, as well as support for UN peacekeeping operations.
Humanitarian Aid: A substantial portion of the aid was for humanitarian assistance, addressing crises like drought and food insecurity.
Development and Resilience: Other funds supported a variety of initiatives including stabilization, resilience, and health programs, and helped strengthen Somali institutions.
Example of Specific Funding: In December 2024, an additional $29 million was announced for programs focused on resilience, food security, and health in vulnerable households.
Yes. In fact it is up to each country to determine the requirements for its citizenship. We cannot control what other countries do with their citizenship, so we cannot control other countries letting their citizens retain their citizenship if they become US citizen. But we can revoke a naturalized citizen his citizenship if they swear allegiance to any other country.
Somalia is the worst craphole on the planet. The best thing to do is nuke it from orbit. Sort of like taking a rabid dog out of its misery.
Amen bump!
Sorry.
Born on US soil of two US citizen parents is the requirement to be a natural born citizen
I live in a metro suburb in Minnesota and am seeing a phenomenon that slowly may erode the Islamist grip on Somalis. While older Somali women still dress in burkas and force their daughters to dress the same, young Somali girls are increasingly pushing the dress code and slowly becoming Westernized. Loose flowing pants are a trend and head covering is just a scarf. Young Somali guys only rarely appear in traditional garb and opt for blue jeans. I am certain that young Somalis are partying and drinking like their peers, just not openly. It will be increasingly difficult for the harsh grip of Islam to continue where the younger generation is living in an open non Islamist society.
Similar phenomenon in Iran. And that is despite the country having a theocratic form of government. Iranians have access to social media and they know that the rest of the world is not living like that.
Thanks.
My source was wrong. Not me.
Being born on U.S. soil and having two U.S. citizen parents is not required.
Either birthplace or parental citizenship can qualify, depending on the situation.
Well spoken. What’s the holdup?
