Graham Platner, a far-left Democratic candidate running for Senate in Maine who has captured the enthusiasm of the party’s grassroots base, sought to preempt rumors circulating in recent weeks that a black skull-and-cross bones tattoo on his chest is a Nazi symbol.
Speaking with Tommy Vietor on the “Pod Save America” political podcast, released on Monday night, Platner, 41, confirmed the existence of the tattoo, seen in video he shared displaying his bare chest, but suggested that his opponents in the race have been spreading claims that the symbol is affiliated with Nazism, which he forcefully denied.
“I am not a secret Nazi. Actually, if you read through my Reddit comments, I think you can pretty much figure out where I stand on Nazism and antisemitism and racism in general,” said Platner, a Marine veteran and oyster farmer in Maine who has faced scrutiny over past online posts. “I would say a lifelong opponent.”
But according to a person who socialized with Platner when he was living in Washington, D.C., more than a decade ago, Platner had specifically acknowledged that the tattoo was a Totenkopf, the “death’s head” symbol adopted by an infamous Nazi SS unit that guarded concentration camps in World War II.

I did Nazi this coming from a Democrat terrorist.
He is now to only be referred to as Graham “Maine Kampf” Platner.
True. Not a secret. It’s all over the media now.
He’s NOT a Nazi — he’s a PIRATE!
No I’m not a secret Nazi, but Hitler did a great job on the Autobahn and kept the trains running on time. Just sayin . . . . .
It doesn’t matter. As a left wing democrat he can count on getting most of the Jewish vote even if he campaigned in a full SS uniform. Maybe he should move to south Florida or New York city. That’s where most of the Jews for Hitler seem to live.
The Nazis took far left liberalism to the furthest extreme, they killed off all the political enemies aka the night of the long knives, they marginalized and then attacked Jews in the Kristallnacht and finally thru the concentration camps attempted to kill off all the marginalized people.
Think about the far left today, they are attempting to kill of their opposition, assassination attempts on multiple Republican Politicians, succeeded in killing Charlie Kirk, during Covid many on the left advocated rounding up and putting vax skeptics into camps, I have no doubt that many on the left would gladly put conservatives into camps right now.
The modern left has taken the Nazi ideology, modernized it and is attempting to implement it today.
It should come as no surprise that a far left liberal in Maine running for public office would tattoo the Nazi SS Death’s Head symbol on his chest.
Let’s see a pic of it!
Sorry, but that’s a death’s head symbol used by the ss. And prior to that the imperial death’s head hussars used it.
Nope. The Jews in Florida now are majority Orthodox ex-pats from the DeBlasio COVID terror he inflicted on religious Jews in Brooklyn. They vote in people like Anna Paulina Luna from Sarasota, where there is a yuge number of religious Jews. She got 85% of their vote in 2024.
“I’m not a Nazi, I’m a Commie!”

Thx for the history lesson.

He’s a totalitarian either way.
If one reads that article, clicks the hyperlinks and reads those too, they will come to acknowledge this man is a true anti-American anti-Christian anti-Semitic Marxist.
He probably shouldn’t have titled his autobiography “Maine Kampf”.
The only difference is if you are a national or international commie.
