Rogers Centre drone policy states the stadium is in Billy Bishop Airport's no-fly zone

Toronto police say they’ve charged seven more people for illegally flying drones over Rogers Centre during the Blue Jays post-season baseball games.
Police say earlier this week the Toronto Emergency Management and Public Order Unit used “specialized drone technology” to identify and intercept seven unauthorized drone flights over and around the baseball stadium during games on Sunday and Monday.
They say eight charges were laid against seven people for operating drones contrary to the Canadian Aviation Regulations and for violating federally designated no-fly zones.
The Rogers Centre drone policy says the stadium is within the nearby Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport's no-fly zone.
Police fined two people earlier this month for flying drones over the stadium during games.
The Jays are back at home on Sunday for Game 6 against the Seattle Mariners in the American League Championship Series.
Worse and worse; unauthorized live recordings of Major League sports events are as bad as dropping a bomb on Hiroshima, or something. These are obviously national security threats and should be prosecuted at the full weight and expense of the taxpayers.
Russia...Russia...Russia
So what’s Canada going to do about it??
They are run by a bunch of oblivious, deranged leftists!
The next game is TOMORROW.
IIRC in the 1992 and 1993 runs MLB ordered the Jays to close the roof regardless of the weather outside. I think the reason was for tv purposes that the closed roof offered no wind factor and more consistent play. None of the post season games back then were open roof. Obviously that policy no longer exists. Bear in mind at that time the Skydome was the only retractable roof stadium around (at least in the playoffs) but now there are a few more. There weren’t a lot of drones either back then.
You can’t stop them. You can only try to contain them.
Hopefully, sunday’s game will be the last one this season at Rogers center
Wow looking at the pic of the stadium there was really no good place to put that scoreboard.
“”You can’t stop them. You can only try to contain them.””
DARN! I don’t know if anyone else has quotes stuck in their brain and are unable to identify them but yours is one. Where did that quote come from? Movie I cannot place!! If I can get the answer, I’ll have room for more to get stuck there. Thanks.
I believe Rush said it a few times.
I mean, it’s dead away at center field, so I think that’s the best place for it.
It looks like the only place for it but it looks like it took out a heck of a lot of seats, unless it’s a trick of the pics depth of field. At say Yankee Stadium or City Field which we open fields it’s just up in the air above everything.
