Cedric Dean.

Federal agents raided multiple properties owned by Charlotte community activist Cedric Dean in connection with a civil forfeiture investigation into an alleged multimillion-dollar Medicaid fraud scheme.

According to court documents, Dean and his company, Cedric Dean Holdings (CDH), are accused of operating a scheme since September 2024 that targeted vulnerable people, including those experiencing homelessness.

The allegations state that Dean's group would offer free food, housing, or other benefits in exchange for their Medicaid information.

The investigation alleges that Dean's company then fraudulently billed Medicaid for services that were not provided Federal officials claim that Dean's company billed Medicaid for a total of $14.5 million and received nearly $9 million in reimbursements. These funds were allegedly used to buy properties and vehicles, which have since been seized by federal officials. As of October 16, 2025, no criminal charges have been filed, and the investigation is ongoing .

I believe we could count on one hand anyone on the Left who is NOT an “activist.”

C’mon, Man!

Dean is the face of those willing to say they’re “for their fellow man,” and hoping to make a buck on it. He sets up a contrast with people’s words and their actual behavior....... the difference between what people say and what they do.

Themes explored in quotes using similar ideas include:
The contrast between words and actions. Many quotes point out that people’s true character is revealed by their deeds, not their claims.

For example: “It is better to be a wolf of the woods, than a lamb of the fold and a wolf of the heart”.
The danger of pretense. The phrase suggests a warning against people who feign kindness or camaraderie for personal gain.

A quote by Kurt Vonnegut touches on this: “We are what we pretend to be, so we must be careful about what we pretend to be”.

Biblical references to hypocrisy. Several scriptures address this type of behavior, such as a passage in 1 John: “If anyone says, ‘I know Him,’ but does not keep His commandments, he is a liar”. A related passage notes, “If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar”.

“...a total of $14.5 million and received nearly $9 million in reimbursements.”

But he wasn’t smart enough to move everything and himself to Cape Verde or some other non-extradition place.
