The Democrat-led state of Illinois spent more to give free health care to illegal migrants than the total it spent on its citizens in programs for foster kids, the elderly, its roadways, and the arts — combined.
The 2025 budget, passed in June of 2024, totaled $53.1 billion in spending, inducing more than one billion dollars in new taxes.
But despite the huge rise in taxes, Gov. JB Pritzker also signed onto a total of $629 million toward taxpayer-funded health care for illegal migrants called the Health Benefits for Immigrant Adults (HBIA).
The mounting number of programs for illegal aliens comes at a cost of billions of tax dollars, according to the Illinois Policy Institute.
But expenditures for citizens are decidedly smaller, according to the Washington Examiner.
“That single expenditure was more than the $400 million the Illinois Department of Transportation was given for its Road Fund that pays for transportation-related projects in towns, cities, and counties; $55.3 million to cook and deliver meals to the elderly; $22.1 million to increase foster homes and specialized care of children; and $24.6 million to fund the Illinois Arts Council — combined,” the Examiner reported.

This is the sh&t we should focus on.
Not to preach but all democrat controlled states diverting tax dollars to support millions of illegal immigrants who incidentally don’t pay in to the tax system, the communists pulling the state’s strings are purposefully breaking the public bank thus creating a reason to take even more money from those who are paying in and supporting the state governments. When the state eliminates the financial freedom of the working class by putting them in perpetual debt, the scoundrels who run the state assumes absolute control of the people, to the point where people can never afford to fight off the state’s thuggery.

A few days ago an Illinois republican senator had a press conference and said the democrats gave a billion dollars to various NGOs. That is money that can’t be tracked..

When you have a plurality of illegal aliens and homeless who operate in an underground cash based economy outside the normal tax structure that has become so huge it has macroeconomic impact you need mechanisms to tax them
The only way to do this is using point of service taxes and fees
This is why state and local sales taxes have doubled over the last 40 years as well as taxes on gas, electricity and other items people in the underground cash economy purchase or spend money on as well as all sorts of hidden service fees that use the same strategy to collect transaction based funds to fund government
These taxes are targeted at the illegals and homeless who operate in the underground cash economy amount to a double taxation on the rest of us hard working , play by the rules people
They have to spend more money on illegals because their numbers are good for the DemonRat parties very existence. If they lose their illegals they lose illegal votes and seats in the House.
I suspect by the time Trump’s four years are up that the democrat party will be hanging on by threads.
Keeping their servants healthy and you pay for it.
With this kind of disparity in spending, pay close attention to the money trail. This suggests that it easier to divert money from the welfare health care stream than from the lusual sources suchas roads, the arts etc.
Democrat-Led anything the same can always be expected science still can’t figure out why people keep voting for them.

Since money is fungible, I sincerely doubt state taxpayers are the only folks getting screwed.
