“Plane Crashes in Fort Worth”
Plural? How many planes crashed in Fort Worth?
Where, exactly? I have family there.
I was just thinking “how long before the shutdown gets blamed for this?”. It is ridiculous that the controllers are not among those who are still getting paid.

Thanks.
Near Alliance airport?
More likely coming from or going to Hicks, if it was a small plane.
“A small single-engine Cirrus SR-22 aircraft (registration N564FD, owned by NF Aviation LLC) crashed near Hicks Airfield in Fort Worth, Texas, around 11:00 AM local time (CDT). “
I hate hearing about these crashes. My son is an instructor of these single & double planes. It’s those single engine that concern me. When there’s an engine failure - looking for a safe place to land is not always possible.
It has a parachute but may have been too low or too fast to be deployed.
The airport is not controlled and the runway parallels railroad tracks.
Trains coming in from the north can be running 70 mph and creates a wall of air current over the runway…not good for small aircraft.
*I was out on a job site once when our secretary reported that Anderson blew the runway twice in a F-86 that he kept at Stephens County Airport.
A Cirrus 22 has a ballistic parachute in case of emergency. Most Cirrus crashes are due to pilot error.
Sure sounds like more than one, doesn’t it? Just more bad writing....have to wonder why “Crashes” is capitalized...
Maybe these aircraft crashes happen because owner/operators are using used parts to keep them flying. In Rantoul, Kansas used parts that are not inspected or tested are sold by Dodson International Parts and then put the cheap worn out parts on your aircraft.
