Why don’t you wait until the hostages are released before doing ANYTHING.

Maybe because he wants to close the deal and this is the only way to do so?

Maybe he could send VP Vance. But then, if the Deal does actually happen as is the goal, perhaps the president would definitely prefer to be there himself, for that historic moment.

Right, because the psychotic, bloodthirsty, Hamas murderers are much more likely to see it as a conciliatory action rather than one of weakness and desperation. Concede nothing until the other side meets the initial requirements of the deal.

Don’t. Those people are not worth it.

Would it stick? Palestinians are not like Egyptians. Sadat was a strong leader as well as the big brother in the Arab world.

Trump may be a bit naive. Of course the Israelis could be the enforcers/bouncers in any agreement.

Holding hostages is a war crime.

Tell that to the Japanese and the commanding officer at Malmady.

Starting from the sea, search each building, flatten it, push it into the sea below high tide,....

Sorry folks but I think Hamas is simply stringing Trump along. They know he seems desperately to want the Nobel Peace Prize for achieving Peace in Gaza so they are successfully avoiding releasing ALL the hostages. They want to keep the cards they have so they can continue playing their game,

There has to be a plan in place to secure Gaza after Israel withdraws. A force that can actually use force if and when necessary. Would Hamas et al attach Egyptian forces? Would Egyptian forces actually carry out the mission of not just peacekeeping, but dismantling the tunnel network under Gaza?

And Egyptian troops in Gaza requires some modification of the 1978 Camp David Accords between Egypt and Israel, which we brokered and provided for military aid to both countries. In 1981 the Muslim Brotherhood (of which Hamas is an offshoot) assassinated Egyptian President Sadat and the Arab League kicked Egypt out for 10 years.

Leaders from all these Middle Eastern Countries have put their faith in Trump and are rising to their own potential as leaders.

President Trump...God Speed!!

They have already exchanged lists and that dynamic is in the works.

After the boat sinkings, Trump stands no chance of getting a prize.

After the boat sinkings, Trump stood....

His skin lacks melanin.

Meant to add, the Accords limit the number of military units near the border - so for Egypt to deploy forced in Gaza requires some other deals. That, assuming Egypt is going to be part of a force in Gaza.

You know nothing about what’s going on behind the scenes, and neither do I, for that matter. But it’s likely Trump is going there less for Hamas’s sake and more to give various assurances to Egypt and the other Arab countries that are mediating the discussions, and whose support will be needed to drag any negotiated peace deal over the finish line.

He’s really going over there to take over the Great Pyramid yo tove to Las Vegas. It’s ‘uger than the Luxor. The Luxor is just a sad, glass copy of the new Trump Giza casino.

They’ve already exchanged lists for a hostage and prisoner exchange. They’re working on the logistics of the exchange.
I believe Marco thoroughly addressed it yesterday.
