Their asks are ridiculous. Though they are about 1% right, health care needs reform. I’m still waiting for Repeal and Replace. The Affordable Care Act is neither affordable nor does it guarantee care. It was a boondoggle for the insurance companies. It needs to go. Let people get low cost catastrophic insurance again, and let the market dictate the cash costs for routine exams. I can’t tell you how much it annoys me to get a bill from the blood test companies because my doctor drew 4 vials of blood and sent them out. All is OK except my mental health - I paid the dude $85 co-pay PLUS I pay my insurance $2k a month to cover the rest. They can’t cover the cost to check my cholesterol etc? And they’re talking about a 100% increase next year? WTH am I missing?
Sorry for going sideways on this thread.
I agree completely. OCare is a fraud to enrich the carriers w/o delivering care. It needs to be replaced. High deductible policies are a good fit for many people. One size fits all is a recipe for suiting nobody when it comes to health insurance.
.
The House is out of it now. Its all on the Senate.
BS
The House passed the continuing resolution to keep the government open. The Senate Dems are blocking it from even getting an up or down vote. The House has nothing further to pass at this time unless the Senate were to pass an amended version and send it back to them.
I would assume the various House committee members are still working on the regular appropriations / budget bills and they need to get this process finished. Those can be passed on reconciliation and not subject to the 60 vote threshold.
Correction:
Axios trying to CREATE a story.
Pure BS!
Nonsense. T
