I was one of those USAF ATC pukes. Those FAA ATC pukes had a no strike clause. They went on strike. They were being paid, and still went on strike. They deserved getting fired. This situation is completely different. They are NOT getting paid. I was a controller for 20 years. I donβt know if I would work for free. If you want to learn about ATC, you can ask me. I am amazed at how ignorant most freepers are about the subject.
Military ATC is old junk but then again so is civilian ATC.
β but they are not being paid.β
They have not missed a single paycheck. Their last paycheck was September 29. The next one is due October 14. The ones calling in sick are self identifying for dismissal. Maybe then the CTA schools can crank back up and put out quality candidates.

Yep
Yikes! I have to be in Dallas at the end of the month for 10 days ... I am already terrified of flying and will avoid it at all costs. This is another reason to add to not fly.
My boss is wondering why I will be driving from NH to Dallas in a couple of weeks ... this issue right here is another one to add to my list.
1,850 mile trip coming up and I hope the rental car I take will handle the ride.
