Bussiere has served as Air Force Global Strike Command commander since December 2022.
He was nominated by the administration to be the next Air Force vice chief of staff in July, but Aviation Week reported in early September that Bussiere’s nomination was withdrawn. """"

Trump needs to tell his Cabinet Secretaries that people need to be vetted BEFORE they are nominated, not AFTER they are nominated.
He’s not even fat.
Did he profess his Love for Gen. Milley?
Smells like an obama General took the hint.
Is he transgender?
I guess he read the tea leaves.
Does he hang out by the urinals?
I served with far too many that ate the obama fruit.
Smells like an obama General took the hint.

BINGO!
Good riddance.
“While I’m stepping away from active duty, my commitment to service remains. I look forward to finding new ways to support our Air Force...”. IOW, he’s looking forward to that nice cushy contractor job he probably created for himself.

In a statement to the house armed services committee he stated that the he is actively working to increase the retention and onboarding of diverse recruits:
“To maintain this level of success, we are actively engaged in initiatives to recruit and retain a diverse and talented group of future Striker leaders.”
Worked to implement the Women Peace and Security guidelines for inclusion of more women in the services.
The command is building a base of eminently qualified personnel across all mission sets. “We’re hopeful this course will help us improve our critical thinking and enable a more diverse decision-making for our day-to-day engagements,” he said.
Attended a “Go-Inspire” Event (organization is dedicated to increasing diversity in recruiting, specifically in JROTC.)
According to the Air Education and Training Command, “In addition to Bussiere attending the air show, he also participated in a GO Inspire event May 28, when he visited the Booker T. Washington High School Air Force Junior ROTC. “The event was attended by 45 JROTC cadets of African American and Latino American descent. Lt. Gen. Bussiere focused his discussion points on diversity and inclusion as he spoke about his Air Force career and experiences,”
One of my brothers retired from the USAF in 2015. He told me many of the colonels were really bad because they wanted their first star.
At that point in time most of the O-6s I served with or had dealings with were total obama bots. The DEI O-6s were the worst. It’s why I retired early from civil service.
Someone wants trannies flying jets.
Thanks for that info.
Good riddance DEI pusher!
Bye-buy. And a few hundred others who were promoted under the three Obama-Biden-Harris administrations.
Exactly. An almost no-show contractor job. Better than what the Mafia used to set up for their guys in unions. Seen it so many times with DoW and civilian agency retirees. Why retire when his commitment to service remains and he is already in one of the best positions to best support the AF as he says?
Well bye.
Why is an Air Force General announcing retirement news?
Also re: “... a four-star general and longtime fighter pilot...”
bullSchiff.
you can be a 95yo vet “always a Marine” but not a real fighter pilot General.
Being forced out for refusal to give up the DEI bullshit?
Øbowel forced a lot out for refusing to go along with the homo movement.
