Why not just transplant all chip manufacturing to the US. The chinese aren’t capable of churning out high end chips even if they do capture the island. Wouldn’t all those facilities be wired to blow in case of China succeeding in a invasion?

15 years ago, I might have agreed with you. Red China is now turning out very high-end chips. I think there are few left who outclass them.
