Bank of England urged to do more to tackle climate crisis

A coalition of 10 campaign groups is calling on the Bank of England to do more to tackle the climate crisis, a decade after the then governor Mark Carney warned of the “tragedy of the horizon”.

Carney, now prime minister of Canada, argued in a speech at Lloyd’s of London in September 2015 that the short time-horizons of politicians and policymakers made it difficult to tackle the climate emergency, despite the threat it posed to the global financial system.

Carney said: “The combination of the weight of scientific evidence and the dynamics of the financial system suggest that, in the fullness of time, climate change will threaten financial resilience and longer-term prosperity. While there is still time to act, the window of opportunity is finite and shrinking.”

Ten years on, the environmental groups Greenpeace and WWF and the thinktanks the New Economics Foundation and Positive Money are among the signatories to a new briefing, calling on the Bank to take more decisive action. They urge Threadneedle Street to commission a review of monetary policy, given the increasing frequency of climate-related shocks that can push up food prices, for example.

By doing what? Spend more money or less money.
Neither will make any difference.
Oh, I see. Spend more money on Leftist favorite causes. Of course!
That won't make the slightest dent in the climate either.

What”climate crisis?” Do they mean the one that’s been perpetually ten years away for the last hundred years years? Or the one that’s exists in the leftists’ fantasy universe that comes and goes as crazy people lead the morons in their latest pagan religion de jur. Or is it the one Paul Ehrlich predicted would kill half of the earth’s population by the end of the 70’s. So many phony crises to chose from and so little time before the freedom to use energy burns us all to ash according to the discredited climate doom junior harpy from Sweden.

Maybe come up with some cold cash. There is no climate crisis and if there was, how the hell does a bank fix it?

Throw all the illegals into the ocean. Would cut 20% off energy use.

“Do more”

1. Demolish all airports in UK.
2. Tear up all train tracks in UK and demolish all train stations.
3. Put all farmers out of business.
4. Open Bug Grocery stores. “Bugs & Chips” sounds delicious.
5. Quadruple electricity prices. Who needs heating in winter?
6. Allow all UK citizens to buy one change of clothes per year.

Humans worked for millennia to pull themselves out of poverty and short life spans. Abundant energy did that. Why do politicians want to send everybody back to the stone age?

Meanwhile, nobody’s advocating we target the largest sources of CO2 emissions: breathing and every fizzy drink.

There is NOTHING, absolutely NOTHING the U.K. can do that can alter the “climate crisis” - no scientific basis whatsoever.

Anything the U.K. attempts to do about the “climate crisis” can achieve only one single possible thing, and that is to buy some approval from some other nations caught up in the “we can change the climate” scam.

President Trump called climate change a world wide scam. Proof of that is that the NWO ruling elite pukes are the only ones still pushing it.
