The Café Grumpy owner apologized and said employee's actions violated company policy
A New Jersey man says he was denied service and insulted by a barista at a New York City coffee shop after walking in wearing a MAGA hat on the morning of Sept. 11. Anthony Pullis, 31, stopped at New York City coffee chain Café Grumpy in the Financial District on his way to the 9/11 memorial ceremony at Ground Zero. He wore a red "Make America Great Again" hat, along with a photo of his late father, Edward Pullis, pinned to his shirt pocket.
His father worked in the South Tower of the World Trade Center and was killed in the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks. His family has attended the annual ceremony in lower Manhattan every year since, the Asbury Park Press first reported.
Anthony Pullis told Fox News Digital that when he entered the café, the barista looked at him and said, "No service."

I feel the same about this incident as I do with the fruit cake baking incidents.
Next time wear a T shirt “I Love Jimmy Kimmel.”
If you’re afraid to wear “Free Luigi.”
There was a local restaurant in Omaha that was open for forty years and the owners son made some stupid posts on social media and ruined the family business to where they had to close.
When my kids were younger, it was a regular task having them remove stuff off of social media. Why people think everyone else is entitled to their opinion is beyond me.
Anthony would have been 7 years old when his father was killed in the 9/11 attacks.
Cafe Grumpy eh.....truth in advertising. Noted. Next time in NYC which who knows when will be I’ll avoid.
Try that in a small town.
That’s the way to handle this stuff. They have the right to deny you service and you have the right to ruin their business in return. In this case, it sounds like the business owner was not involved, so simply pressure the business to forget her employee who was. And the difference in the cake baking controversy was that the freakazoids harassing bakery owner Jack Phillips were trying to push government to shut his business down.
That was supposed to be “fire” and not “forget.” %#!&@ Autocorrect.
I feel sorry for this guy but there is no way in Hell that I would wear anything MAGA in New York City. Especially in some coffee bar populated by humanities majors who can’t get jobs anywhere else. If they don’t snub you, they’ll spit in your drink.
This is why I don’t tip baristas. You know they are leftists.
“Customer orders Charlie Kirk’s Starbucks drink and finds a disturbing hate message — employee gets fired”
“Autumn Perkins, who lives in Middletown, Ohio, visited a Starbucks location inside Kroger and run by Kroger to order the mint majesty with two honeys.
When she received her order, she was shocked to see that an employee had written “racist’s fav drink” on the side of the cup.
“It’s time for people to stop this nonsense,” Perkins told Fox News Digital.”
What percentage of people living in NYC actually love America? Serious question.
Why wear the hat in an eating establishment, unless you want a saliva sandwich or pee in your colada.
You’re correct. He WAS seven years old that day.
These tolerant marxist commies, strike, again.
God bless this man for his courage ... and, bless his father’s soul, eternally.
It doesn’t appear the employee was fired.
Unless you want spit in your cup from a hateful barista who obviously DETESTS Conservatives, I would AVOID AVOID AVOID Grumpy Cafe.
NYC is a filthy foreign country.
Avoid it

Perhaps this is her.
Whites should pack into the place sit at the counter and demand service in a place of public accommodation.
