A ponytailed New Hampshire man has been arrested after allegedly plotting to assassinate the state's Republican governor with a 'weapon of mass destruction.'
Tristan Anderson, 22, is accused of threatening to kill Governor Kelly Ayotte with homemade pipe bombs.
According to investigators, Anderson made the chilling threats to his roommate on Snapchat, bragging about his plans and showing off the materials he intended to use.
An arrest warrant shows Anderson also ranted about the 'Israel Deep State' in a string of anti-Semitic messages before turning his anger toward Ayotte, who is Catholic.
Anderson's social media littered with disturbing posts including a threat to 'kill' New Hampshire committee members 'that think they speak for the rest of NH residents.'
In another, he wrote that he was 'convinced my generation is full of w****s.' He also shared a video promoting an anti-Israel conspiracy theory.
His roommate told police that Anderson owned firearms and had shown her fireworks, metal tubes, and bags of nuts and bolts — which he allegedly planned to fashion into pipe bombs.
Anderson was arrested last month and is facing charges of criminal threatening and threatening a government official.
He is currently being held without bail at Merrimack County Jail.
Governor Ayotte did not immediately respond to a request for comment when contacted by Daily Mail.
The alleged bomb threat comes at a time of heightened focus on the safety of public figures following the assassination of conservative commentator Charlie Kirk last week.
Ayotte was inaugurated as New Hampshire Governor in January 2025, and previously served as a Senator for the state from 2011 to 2017.
She has not made many public stances on the Israel - Hamas war, but did write an op-ed for The Hill in 2014 criticizing Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.
