Vaccine-Autism Researcher Arrested After Decade on the Run for Stealing $1 Million From CDC
The Liberty Daily ^ | 9/17/25 | Cassie B

Disgraced CDC vaccine researcher Poul Thorsen was arrested in Germany after a decade on the run for fraud and money laundering.

His fraudulent studies, used to dismiss vaccine-autism links, helped deny more than 5,000 injury claims while he stole nearly $1 million in CDC funds.

Thorsen’s research was riddled with flaws, ethical violations, and conflicts of interest, yet the CDC continued defending it even after his crimes were exposed.

Critics say his arrest reveals systemic corruption in vaccine research, where pharmaceutical influence and fraudulent science silence families of injured children. If extradited and compelled to testify, Thorsen could expose deeper collusion between the CDC, researchers, and industry, raising questions about who really controls vaccine safety.

(Natural News)—For more than a decade, Danish scientist Poul Thorsen evaded justice while his fraudulent research helped deny thousands of vaccine injury claims. Now, after years as a fugitive, the disgraced researcher has finally been arrested in Germany—and the U.S. is pushing for his extradition.

Thorsen, a key figure in studies claiming no link between vaccines and autism, was indicted in 2011 on 22 counts of wire fraud and money laundering after allegedly stealing nearly $1 million from CDC research grants. His arrest follows an Interpol Red Notice, marking a long-overdue reckoning for a man whose work shaped vaccine policy while he lived as a wanted criminal.

Harming children and fleecing the tax-payer. It's a common thing in our government.

If he was responsible for fraudulent “studies” that, for political reasons, were produced to show there was no link between vaccines and autism, then one has to assume that there is risk to children (and, by extension, harm) to children if any links to vaccines and autism did go undiscovered because the study had been rigged to NOT show that risk.

I have always supported vaccination of people if...and it is a capital IF...a vaccine is backed by well run studies that conclude they are largely safe and whatever risk that may exist is outweighed by the benefits.

When someone lies, produces, and pushes a knowingly flawed and fraudulent study, my experience tells me there is a strong likelihood that for reasons, either political or financial, it was done for gain.

And in this case, the implication is obvious that the lies were built on the backs of the human beings the study was purportedly commissioned to protect (children who may develop autism)

Of course, that is giving the benefit of the doubt to the granters of the money-assuming that they really wanted to know if a link did exist, and weren’t just doing it to provide window dressing to benefit entities who had a vested interest in telling the public that vaccines didn’t hold increased risk of autism when administered to children.

Incidentally, this is much the same issue I had early on with Global Warming (AKA Climate Change) that turned me into an ardent skeptic.

When I read the account of the modeling software at East Anglia used as the basis to advance the Leftist cause of climate change, I had much the same reaction then as I did to this vaccine-autism study now when I viewed the code that had been stolen and exposed to the public, and the source code had (stupidly enough) coding notes by the programmer still visible to justify why a particular element in the code had been deliberately altered to produce the “desired” result.

They never thought that source code for the model would be looked at by anyone other than the people directly involved in its creation.

What valid vaccine-autism links did he deny?

Are there any?

Evidently, Thorsen was embezzeling research funds.
“Thorsen allegedly diverted over $1 million of the CDC grant money to his own personal bank account. Thorsen submitted fraudulent invoices on CDC letterhead to medical facilities assisting in the research for reimbursement of work allegedly covered by the grants.”

There is no evidence the studies were flawed.

“The anti-vaccine movement has been buzzing over a fraud investigation involving Poul Thorsen, a Danish scientist who co-authored key papers in 2002 and 2003 that found no link between childhood vaccines and autism. After discovering “a considerable shortfall in funding” involving a U.S. grant that Thorsen administered, Aarhus University in Denmark referred the matter to police. A Philadelphia Inquirer story from Friday quotes the senior and lead authors on the two papers saying that Thorsen’s contributions were minor and he could not have skewed the results.”

deny more than 5,000 injury claims.

Looks like you missed the pertinent point.

deny more than 5,000 injury claims.

That's awful!

Looks like you missed the pertinent point.

Now if you can show they were fraudulently denied, you might have something.

There were injuries

Allegedly.

Throw away the key.
