Sunday on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” Sen. Mark Kelly (D-AZ) said President Donald Trump had not tried to bring the country together after the assassination of Charlie Kirk.
Host Kristen Welker said, “How do you see Charlie Kirk’s legacy, Senator?”
Kelly said, “Well, Charlie Kirk and I didn’t agree much politically. I’m Democrat, he’s clearly a Republican. He was one of my constituents. The one thing we did on is his right to be out there speaking about issues on college campuses like he was last Wednesday. He had every right to be there. I will give him a lot of credit. He people a platform, and he would listen to people across the aisle. I had a difference of opinion from him. I think it’s hard to say. This is one of those moments, I think, that people will remember. I think it will have a long-term impact. I hope it can be a positive one. I hope people and start to think about are they getting their information from people who are trying to exploit us or people who are trying to unify us? We’ve seen this week from the governor of Utah, who I got to give a lot of credit to, who has tried to bring this country together. We have not seen that from the President of the United States, and I don’t think we can expect to. I’ve seen it from my senate colleague from Utah, John Curtis, you know, who is very thoughtful about how he’s approaching this. So my hope is that people go to those individuals that are not trying to exploit this tragic event.”

Kelly, et al definition of bring the country together simply means that Trump and Republicans are not aquiesing to Dems demands and that Trump isn’t a squish who is rolling over.

There is nothing that can be done that has not been done to placate the left. The farther the right slides to the left in agreement, merely to pacify dissent, the worse the left gets.

As I told my grands, there are rules so that everyone can work together peacefully. The left insists that THEIR rules are the only ones that must be obeyed. There is no reconciliation nor is there any compromise with them.
You want to pretend there are 50+ genders and sexualities? I don’t, and I won’t.
You want to pretend this country is the fount of all evil and that slavery was invented by Caucasians when the word slave is derived from the Slavic Caucasians? I know better. I was educated long ago. Since then, the children are not educated. They are inculcated in some ideological communist brainwash.
There can be NO compromise anymore. The left pushes for war in the US. Funded by? The billionaires? China? The DNC?

It feels like an abusive relationship. The left does something horrible, then says they love us, they want unity. When we try to unite, they do something horrible again. Wash, rinse, repeat.
It’s a bit difficult to unite with a side that is aiming a rifle at you and everyone else is cheering.
