Republicans eye government funding punt to Nov. 21

Republican leaders are eyeing a House vote on a stopgap spending bill next week that extends government funding through Nov. 20 — up to the Friday before Thanksgiving — according to five GOP officials granted anonymity to describe the talks.

Congress, you have one primary job which you know about every year - write the budget. Yet somehow between your months of vacations you missed the schedule again and will pass a photocopy of last year’s budget with a few lines scratched out or (vastly more likely) added. Anyone with a real job one hundredth as incompetent as you would be fired. The only question left is which is bigger: your idiocy or your venality.

US House kicks the budget ball down the road.
2005 maybe 2004 was our last budget, 20 years of (CRs) continuing resolutions
CRs are a significant cause of our $37 deficit - but ...
