A key leader in the world economy is warning that undue interference in the Federal Reserve’s operations by President Donald Trump could pose a serious economic risk to the U.S. and the rest of the world.

European Central Bank President Christine Lagarde said in an interview with Radio Classique on Monday that efforts to remove Fed Chair Jerome Powell or Fed Governor Lisa Cook would “represent a very serious danger for the U.S. economy and the world economy.”

“If U.S. monetary policy were no longer independent and instead dependent on the dictates of this or that person, then I believe that the effect on the balance of the American economy could, as a result of the effects this would have around the world, be very worrying, because it is the largest economy in the world,” Lagarde explained. …

It should be remembered as an axiom of eternal truth in politics that whatever power in any government is independent is absolute also.

Thomas Jefferson, 09/06/1819
There’s a reason why there is no Federal Reserve in the US Constitution, Christine; and you’re one to talk, being the head of the autocratic ECB.

I happen to think Fed independence is a good idea. But I also think the Constitution doesn't authorize agencies independent of the President, so it shouldn't be permitted.

I suspect the Court will side with the Fed whenever that legal battle eventually is fought, though....

So Trump, who was convicted and fined half a billion for specious charges of “ loan fraud”…has to keep a serial mortgage loan fraudster on the Fed in the interest of world stability….directed by a European totalitarian

FED “independence” just means FED dependence on central banksters.

The peculiar interest by a foreign leader in our internal affairs is very telling. Why do we borrow our currency, at interest, from a private bank? Who are its shareholders? What are their profits?

Take note of the quote from Jefferson I posted.

The Constitution specifically gives Congress the power “to coin money, regulate the value thereof and of foreign coin” and not to delegate this power to any external agency.

Humanity of course does not need WW3. But yes, that is what keeps the EUSSR alive, the notion of fomenting that final conflict.

So you think it is a good idea that there are multiple sovereign entities within the borders of the US? Cuz I think its the suicide that it is turning out to be. We have the EU declaring that Trump is the enemy of the Fed, which is about the most scary convoluted nonsense I have heard of given that the EU is a made up thing that has power only because too many people give it power.

instead dependent on the dictates of this or that person,

It is already dependent on the dictates of the Federal Reserve Chairman.

The question is simply who chooses the person who controls the Federal Reserve.

Wut.

I have no idea what you are talking about. Exactly what did I say that led you to make that comment? I said nothing about sovereign entities of any kind so....

Yeah. No clue what you mean.

Exactly. You don’t know what I am talking about. That’s because you are a bloviating fool. When you talk about the Fed being independent and not under the control of the President you have created a sovereign entity in competition with our Constitutional government. Undermining US sovereignty have been a goal of the globalists, Soros, the deepstate and our leftists for a long time. You chose to dive headfirst into this fetid swamp.
