It could just as accurately be called an “assault rifle” as an AR-15 could. It is black and “scary looking”. Think of all the accessories it can hold..
When I was working a Hanscom AFB as a contractor, someone set up a machine gun in a conference room in the floor below us. For a class. Apparently security didn't get the memo, and we had an active shooter in the building alert. We closed and locked the doors, and herded the wymin folk to rear and away from windows. (They didn't complain.) We were minimizing the whole farce. Then we got an all clear.
The incident made the local news in Boston, and I got to show my wife the building I worked in.
People should learn not to panic at the sight of an armed citizen.
