Could be worse. On the west side of the Colorado River in CA gas is $4.89, on the east side in AZ it’s $2.96. About 1 mile apart.

Does California try to discourage is residents from scooting over the state line to AZ to buy cheap gas and avoid CA’s taxes?

So lots of CA cars filling up in AZ, I’ll bet. I live in MO across river from IL. The difference in price isn’t that big, but lots of IL drivers will make a special trip to fill up on our side of the river.
