Ping!
She was jailed in the wak of nationwide riots against mass immigration and right now there are numerous demonstrations and raising of flags all over the country to register displeasure with the government, and Reform are winning practically every election since Labour came to power last 6ear.
Which country is the butthole of Europe now?
All the people who said, F*** this S***, I’m outta here,” left for the U.S. generations ago.
“Why did she plead guilty ??!”
Only she can answer that question.
Possibly because she thought she would get a lesser sentence if found guilty by jury.
Undoubtably it was a mistake.
She was released, btw, only because she has served her time (40% is all one needs to serve, with good behaviour) not because of any clemency on the part of the authorities.

This is what we need.
Perhaps Rachel Thieves wouldn’t need to tax us all into owning nothing if we built some of these and deported all illegal immigrants.

This is a migrant detention centre in Florida. It has a capacity of 3,000 people and was built in just 8 days.
It has 200 cameras, 400 security personnel, and 8,500 metres of barbed wire.
If the UK built 60 of these we could house every illegal who has come across the Channel.

Is it beginning to look as if we made a mistake defending England in WWII...
No, they are waking up. We were one election away from the same fate.
I’m believing that you know that this case is in the U.K.
“Possibly because she thought she would get a lesser sentence if found guilty by a jury.”
Sorry but that doesn’t make sense, I actually don’t think you meant that.
In any case that was a ridiculously stupid calculation considering that there would have been a 90% likelyhood of exoneration with a REAL jury of her peers. ESPecially since this is political tyranny brought about by the UK government against free speech.
also, not saying it isn’t, but don’t know if your assertion of 40% if time served is all one needs to serve in the British system of ‘justice’ is correct
Apologies: you are correct, that was garbled.
What I was trying to say is that, in the UK, if you plead guilty up front then you are likely to get a lesser sentence than if you plead not guilty and the case goes to trial - and you are then found guilty by your peers, be they magistrates or juries.
She has given interviews since her release in which she claims that she was given poor legal advice and missled and/or pressured into pleading guilty.
The 40% time-served is correct for the UK, certainly for her particular “offence”. Provided she was deemed to have followed all the rules for “good behaviour” while inside, this was the date she could expect to be released.
Similar rules are applied even for violent crimes including murder! Yes, so much for British “justice”!
But as we know, using the criminal underclass as a means to terrorise the ordinary, honest, and decent, is a tactic common in left-wing regimes.
Thanks.
Certainly is that the UK ‘justice ‘ system is just as fk up as our bullSchiff plea ‘bargain’ system.
She sure as hell got bad advice if they told her that she would have a more than 10% chance of conviction with a jury of her (British) peers.
I seriously doubt that the British police state would have actually allowed Mrs. Connolly a real trial by her peers .
