Sens. Graham, Blumenthal float bill that would designate Russia a state sponsor of terrorism over missing children

Sens. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., and Richard Blumenthal, D-Conn., are floating the possibility of introducing a bill in the Senate that, if passed, could designate Russia and Belarus as state sponsors of terrorism over the kidnapping of Ukrainian children, a source familiar with the bill tells NBC News.

The bill cites media reports and estimates from the Ukrainian government that show that Russia and Belarus have taken or displaced tens of thousands of Ukrainian children since Russia invaded Ukraine in 2022.

"The Russian Federation has kidnapped, deported, or displaced Ukrainian children as young as a few months to 17-year-olds, according to reliable reports. President Putin’s regime seeks the ‘'Russification’' of Ukrainian children through kidnapping, deportation, or displacement to destroy their Ukrainian identity," a draft of the bill states. "The Russian puppet state, the Republic of Belarus, has directly supported the kidnapping of Ukrainian children and supported their relocation."

Two of the biggest losers in the Senate. Neither will be missed when they go.

I think the USA has more problems with trafficking children than Russua does. At least Russia has no more than we do.

Russia should float the same re the prior administration’s support - ahem - of child trafficking under their policies.

That would be amusing.

By that measure, Slow Joe Biden would be an even bigger terrorist (see southern border).

Russia was probably trying to save them from being drafted into the Ukraine Army.

Bottom line:

It’s ok for Russia to kidnap Ukrainian children.

Why don’t those two do their jobs and focus on their constituents’ problems in SC and CT?

Graham is doing everything he can to torpedo any peace deal.

That shouldn't be the least bit surprising to anyone.

Bottom line: You believe propaganda from the Ukrainians despite the fact they have been caught lying repeatedly.

Ukraine should be able to provide a list of names of these 20,000.

My recall is Russia asked for this list at the Turkey negotiations. A list of a few hundred were provided. Russia found most of them in Germany and Romania.

The MSM should be able to demand a list of names.

Graham and “stolen valor” Blumenthal. What a pair. This tells me that Graham will hook up with anybody, even someone who falsely embellished his military career, to stab President Trump in the back. The President needs to distance himself from this faggot now.

Just as Trump and Putin are trying to work out the Ukraine problem,

Horrible timing. Maybe intentional.

If memory serves me correctly it was Lindsey Graham talking about national abortion bans immediately after the Dobbs decision sent the issue back to the state. It is intentional. Not horrible timing. Not bad messaging. Just intentional. Malice aforethought.

Remember after Glasnost and Perestroika, and the fall of the Soviet Union, Russia’s economy was thrown open to a crazy- quilted capitalism dominated by many unscrupulous buyers and sellers.

The kind of thing the textbooks call free markets without the rule of law. I’m just thinking if that kind of economy is still in place.

But what I find disconcerting now are these sudden child kidnapping accusations being leveled against a staunchly religious country by mostly secular non-believers.

It might be prudent to remember that the first casualty, in war, is the truth.

It seems to me to be more of the same disinformation the left and its atheistic allies have historically thrown at those countries and societies whose religiosity condemns the left’s sexual perversions, and which resist assimilating large masses of forced immigration from Muslim countries, as Russia has done and continues to do.
