So, he is saying that if Mamdani wins, it will cause a lot of people to remember how bad socialism is?
The problem with that is that the socialists learn from their failures and strategize how to keep power. As resiliant as America is, there will come a time when they will have created the conditions where they win permanently.
I understand about hard lessons being the best teacher
Certainly, we don't want that crap here in USA.
Basically. Rich Californians are now finding out how quick the totalitarian government they were using to keep poor people out of their neighborhoods is now being used against them by losing their property in the Palisades.
I don’t necessarily disagree with George’s take here.
But at the same time, I have a feeling Mamdani won’t be as “socialist” as people think. He just said it to get elected, and will end up just being the typical liberal in the end.
They never left their serfdom.
Couldn’t George point to other urban hellholes run by Democrats now and simply say, “If you like that, then you’re gonna absolutely love Mamdani!”
No, George-Idiot-Will. People never learn from the failures of socialism. They’ll once again say “NEXT time we’ll just do it right, and it will be great.”
Did we not get that lesson from Obama?

Failed socialism begets more socialism.

Isn't that what we have San Francisco and LA for?
At least, we can hope he’s just another libtard who is all talk and no action.
Don’t forget Chicongo.
There IS a certain logic to his concept. They are either getting a hard leftist corruptocrat that will be like Cuomo, Adams, De Blasio etc... or they will get a Ugandan Marxist Indian.
The need a shock to the system.
He’s not wrong.
The pendulum hasn’t swung far enough,..need to give it a little push.
That's it. He's done. I'd sooner listen to a babbling, drooling derelict at a city bus stop trying to convince me of how the world should be run.
