Federal law already outlaws this type of suit.

Any idea what “reasonable controls” are? My nephew was a law clerk for one of these bozos. Wafter sandy hook, the legislature actually had to have the state police come in and explain/teach guns and rifles to them before they implemented any laws. He said they were ALL clueless. I’m glad I left a long time ago.

"This law is just one more step as we try and make sure that it's not just Connecticut law enforcement doing all the enforcing..."
Sure, that's why gang-bangers in Konnecticut routinely get off with light sentences for gun violations.
Two more years, I'm retiring and taking my money out of this Marxist state.

Didn’t they used to have some firearms manufacturers in Connecticut?
To: Puppage
You’re gonna have that, in the F you State.
Next, see Colorado.

..Lawsuits Against Firearm Makers, Sellers Again? This didn't work the first time. Don't these people ever update their playbook?

For sure. It’s no different than suing a whiskey distillery if some drunk gets in a car accident.
But that’s one thing about liberals. Logic (and long-term affects) don’t matter in the least. It’s all about what feels good at the moment.

The primary legislation protecting gun manufacturers from liability is the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act (PLCAA), enacted in 2005. This federal law shields gun makers and sellers from being sued for crimes committed with their products, provided they have complied with all applicable laws.

There are still some in NH. I regularly see signs advertising that Ruger is hiring.
