Gide died 25 years before Macron was born. The French president is well educated with two masters degrees. There are plenty of anti-Communist, anti-Stalinist writers who were not perverts, Alexander Solzhenitsyn, for example, whose works are certainly available in French. If Macron wanted to display his opposition to Communism, he could have used other authors. Gide was not just a homosexual, he was a pederast.
