No problem for people who own skyscrapers
Employees will be bringing in their own little electric heaters. They’ll start a few fires and, before that, jack up already high utility bills in November to April.
Plumb for gas, anyway - so you do not have to pay tons later.
Grandmothers will freeze to death.
And they won’t care.

Thinking of this a little more, maybe this isn’t as insane as it seems on the surface.
Maybe they want to stop the construction of new buildings, and/or force people into high-rises for control purposes.

Coming to a nation near you...IF the Democrats can seize power.
This is important to understand, YOU ARE NOT SAFE from these monsters, just because you might live in Texas or any other Red State - when they take over the country, you will not be able to hide on your ranch or anywhere else, they WILL control you. In parts of Switzerland, you need GOVERNMENT PERMISSION to install an air conditioner, and that permission is not easy to get as it requires a need, such as a health issue. I suspect in the near future they’ll simply OUTLAW air conditioning throughout Europe (other than Russia, of course)...because that’s who they are.
So, yes, they are coming for us, and people here may want to keep that in mind when you help EMPOWER the DEMOCRATS by sitting out elections because the Republican running isn’t ‘pure enough’ for you. For example, here in Texas, Republican Senator John Cornyn is no friend of conservatives, but he has NEVER come close to taking away your gas hookup, your air conditioning, your gasoline car, or your steak, for that matter. But a Democrat taking his seat will do all of that, and much, much, more. And don’t forget, many, perhaps most of us will be gone by the time the Democrats really turn the screws, so it’s our kids and grand kids who will suffer horrific lives...because of our petty complaints about some Republican that wasn’t perfect for us.
a case study in a major industrial state deliberately committing suicide ... really, the only question is whether the voters can figure out that their state and their lives are disintegrating directly because of the political leadership they selected AND whether they will reverse it or just keep on cheering for their demise ...

I have a very uneasy feeling that that’s what Democrats secretly wish for ... to save on Medicare and other expenses.
Are fireplaces banned?
No more new construction in upstate NY. If there is, people who buy those new places are going to freeze to death for data centers. When they need the power for heat pumps and then space heaters because it’s too cold for heat pumps, either way, PJM won’t have any spare power to sell them.
