Keir Starmer faces Labour revolt over migrant hotels - 'shut them down'

Sir Keir Starmer has been warned that he must stop the use of asylum hotels sooner than promised. Jo White, the Labour MP for Bassetlaw, leads the caucus of 40 MPs in the party’s traditional heartlands, where Labour is under increasing pressure to clear the backlog amid pressure from Reform UK among voters.

Last week, violence erupted in Epping after the alleged sexual assault of a local 14-year-old girl, while protests have been held at several other sites across the country in opposition to asylum seekers being housed in hotels at the public’s expense. The Government has vowed to end the use of hotels as a means of housing asylum seekers by 2029, but the chairman of Labour’s Red Wall group of MPs has warned that the practice must stop before then. But Ms White says that the practice must be ended “a lot, lot quicker than that.”

She told the Telegraph: “I’ve heard ministers saying they share the frustration on the number of small boats that continue to come across and I know they’re listening because I constantly go on about it.

“There’s a commitment to close down the hotels by the end of the parliamentary term. I think we all want it to be a lot, lot quicker than that.”

Currently, around 32,000 people are being held in approximately 210 hotels around the country as they wait for their application to be processed.

Earlier this month, French President Emmanuel Macron urged the UK to reduce the factors that make the country so appealing to illegal migrants, during his three day state visit.

He said: “France and the United Kingdom have a shared responsibility to address irregular migration with humanity, solidarity and fairness.

“We will only arrive at a lasting and effective solution with action at the European level...”

Keir Starmer is an unrepentant marxist.

He was editor of a Trotskyite magazine in University and once he become a lawyer, head a Marxist lawyers association.

He did what all the marxists did in the 1990s, after the Soviet Union collapsed (including Obama) - he put on a suit, and joined the government.

Besides being a weak and extremely unpopular PM of a divided government, and collapsing country, Trump should avoid him on principle alone.

If true, it's a surprise that Macron is saying this to Starmer.

Reject their applications, stop accepting new ones.

No need for "migrant" housing if you don't let them in.

French Revolution meet (not so) Great Britain. Sell Guillotine tickets to fund the deportations or other methods of getting rid of the unwanted immigrant invaders.

It’s not the migrant hotels that are the problem. It’s the migrants.

So shutting down the hotels will mean absolutely nothing if the UK still allows the migrants to pour in. Stopping the migrants would require Trump-level courage and leadership.

Nothing like that in the UK today.
🙁

I fear that you are right. Either revolutions or a series of military coups.

I don’t see a peaceful way out at all. As the old saying goes, demographics is destiny. Muslims will not assimilate. Plus they have larger families. And they will continue to have larger families.

It’s not the migrant hotels that are the problem. It’s the migrants.

We've been fortunate that our migrants are coming from Latin America and India.

Europe is a real mess. They'll have to rebuild the "Iron Curtain". Poland and Hungary should be okay.

The first thing to do is to knock the aliens off welfare and tax credits.

The second thing to do is to make the aliens’ life uncomfortable (make sure they can’t drive, send money, get cable, get Internet, get international/unlimited mobile phone service (a stiff charge for every minute above 60 per 30-day period), withdraw cash, etc.).

The third thing to do is to bribe the aliens to depart (and return home to their source country) (using all the after withholding tax income they don’t need to survive). Each alien above a certain age or height would need a primary employer.

Each primary employer would have to pay (after withholding taxes to be paid to the tax collectors),
1. what the primary employer thinks is the necessary living expenses of each alien employed,
insomuch as the alien’s earnings allow,
2. an annually increasing percentage (5%, 10%, 15%, etc.)
of those necessary living expense amounts into the general return home fund,
3. any remaining earnings into each alien’s personal return home fund,
4. 5% of all their alien employee earning amounts into the general return home fund, plus
5. monthly increasing statutorily fixed by calendar month amounts (£50, £55, £60, etc) into the alien’s personal return home fund.

Any secondary employer of each alien would have to coordinate payment with the alien’s primary employer.

No interest would be paid on return home funds.

Return home funds would be gradually payable monthly back home on three-business-day periods of the month. The periods would be randomly selected and unclaimed funds would be confiscated to motivate the alien to remain home.

The alien’s personal return home fund might be randomly raided for national finances after ten years to further motivate the alien to return home.

NOTE: This system only works well when anchor babies are not legally possible.

Nonsense. Indian immigrants don’t assimilate at all. Especially recent waves.

Indian immigrants don’t assimilate at all.

They're #1 ethnic group for making $$$$. They are entrepreneurial. Low divorce rate.

Perfect! In fact, move ALL MPs and their families into them. Across Europe, move ALL leftist, pro-rape-ugee EU Parliament, bureaucrats and their families into Musloid-controlled no-go zones across Europe.

After all, why should just the "little people" enjoy the "benefits" of "diversity?"

At $100/day, that is over 1 BILLION per year to just house these illegals. How are they fed?

The rump UK Empire can not exist without the political necessity of “migrants.”

It’s the Raison d’être of of the rump UK Empire (or rather, the city of London) and the last gasp of what ever power it still has in the world.

Like the USA, most obviously, migrants directly support the Left electorally and the UK’s bloated, woke welfare government.

But deeper than that, these foreign expats in the UK, and all their long-standing connections abroad, underpin the UK’s “globalist” ideology, and how various rump-UK empire organs of power, from the Commonwealth to media, to finance to education to MI6, maintain influence in the 3rd world.

This also includes places like South Africa and Canada.

But outside the Commonwealth, they also use this ideology and control of long-standing global institutions to quietly influence and control US politics as well.

It’s their last grasp at power and relevancy. It will destroy their society or turn it into something unrecognizable, but if the UK were ever to become a real “ethno-English” or “British First” state, the rump-empire is officially dead.

I won’t argue against that. But MinorityRepublican still has a point. You won’t find Indian immigrants (or their children) plotting acts of violence. They might not particularly like non-Indians.

But they don’t have the built-in hated of infidels like the Muslims do.
