Isn’t espionage for an enemy country treason. Isn’t the penalty death

I would have guessed espionage was punishable by death only during wartime.

But in 1953, Julius and Ethel Rosenberg were executed for spying for the Soviet Union. We were not officially at war with the Soviets, or anyone else.

From Wikipedia:

On March 29, 1951, the Rosenbergs were convicted of espionage. They were sentenced to death on April 5 under Section 2 of the Espionage Act of 1917, which provides that anyone convicted of transmitting or attempting to transmit to a foreign government “information relating to the national defense” may be imprisoned for life or put to death.

“Chenguang Gong”

Probably not a good idea to hire Chinese Nationals to work on TOP SECRET projects, even if the guy speaks good English and uses a fork.

Another POS roaming our country. I’m guessing born elsewhere to stir up spying here. I wish shorter days to his life.

Don't even have to be Chines nationals. If they or their parents have relatives back home threats will be made.
