Anywhere we lived outside of the US we were told not to wear jewelry we weren’t willing to lose, not to keep all of our cash in our wallet, and never flash cash. I guess it’s not common sense in today’s world of ‘look what I have’.
I studied in Italy 20 years ago - the Sub Saharans were in the town square, selling counterfeit goods but other than that, we didn’t see them. I will never go back as long as those savages have control of the country, which it seems they do right now.
Tourism is very important to the country’s economy but it seems that those animals have a higher standing. This crime will, no doubt, cause thousands of cancellations or at least it should. We have the 2nd Amendment, they have NOTHING.
North African indeed. Algeria, Egypt, Libya, Morocco, Tunisia, and Western Sahara. They have to be Swedish.
Italy’s cultural enrichment.
Of course, this is a violent crime, which should never have happened. We all agree on that.
But this 27 y/o victim should have known not to wear anything even looking like a “Gold” necklace while he was out in public in that area of Milan. You may have a right to do it, but ask yourself, is it smart? I couldn’t tell real gold from Fool’s Gold, but many robbers think that they know it when seen.
I knew a chef in Italy who owned 2 restaurants. To take his favorite knives to his second restaurant in another part of the country, he had to ship them separately rather than carry them. Don’t these gentleman know the law?
More cultural enrichment at work.
I was there last month. American tourists outnumber Sub Saharans by at least five to one - and I didn't personally see any violence, only too many of the usual scammers.
A genuine conservative President in Italy could defy the EU Human Rights Demons and shut this down, fast. Meloni is not the one.
Italy’s cultural enrichment.
The first thing you do when you step off the airplane or a boat in a foreign country is go to the local butcher shop and buy a couple of good knives
There was an article a couple days ago where a 14 year old was raped in her parents hotel room.
Don’t wear anything valuable.
I would imagine that at some point the Euro leftists will finally wake up and realize that they’ve essentially ruined their countries by allowing all these third world people in. Unfortunately by that time it will be too late for them to do much about it.
“I would imagine that at some point the Euro leftists will finally wake up and realize that they’ve essentially ruined their countries by allowing all these third world people in.”
Leftists create problems they do not have to deal with. They live separate often in guarded enclaves with staff to deal with the real world. They will never “wake up.” The purpose of Leftism is to feel self-righteous and superior. A person like that will never see himself as having done anything wrong.
North Africans or not, never carry or show anything expensive in Italy. My dad was ripped off of our passports and travelers' cheques (never leave home without them) in 1978 by a couple of thieves on a scooter just after and in the neighborhood where the Red Brigade kidnapped and killed Aldo Moro.
“North African” = islam.
Horrible
I was in Lisbon, Portugal a couple years ago. My hotel was downtown, in the Government/tourist/old town area. I was on a high enough floor I could see for blocks around
From above, I noticed a group of 2-3 (never larger) North African migrant men on every street corner, just hanging-out. Every so often, another migrant would approach, chat with them, and then move on to the next group on the next corner. Sometimes a new person would come, and the one would leave, and come back later or join with another person from another corner. Decided to go down and walk around the downtown, to see how far their coverage spread.
And I realized - the entire city center was THEIR turf. It was some kind of very large, organized group/gang with a clear hierarchy - watching every corner, sending messages, dispatching people on missions - unknown if it was drugs, prostitution, or something else.
