Putin has just discovered the scale of his latest miscalculation
The Telegraph ^

Posted on 07/14/2025 1:28:01 PM PDT by USA-FRANCE

President Donald Trump has finally lost patience with Vladimir Putin. Having promised a “major” announcement on Russia, Trump has now confirmed that the US will dramatically increase weapons supplies to Europe for use in Ukraine and threatened 100 per cent secondary tariffs on Russia’s trade partners. Trump would only provide Russia with an off-ramp if Putin agreed to a ceasefire in Ukraine within 50 days.

Does Ukraine pay you to post here?

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

I posted 100% American info coming directly from President Trump.
I hope you don’t want me to censor the information concerning Trump’s decisions and actions?

First of all Ukraine soldiers never fought with US soldiers in Afghanistan.
Again Ukraine is not and has never been an ally of America.
Zellensky/Ukraine saw a very weak demented President Biden and proceeded to suck as much US tax payer dollars from him as they could.
Sadly for Ukraine, Trump won in November.
Trump is not fond of just handing out precious US tax payer dollars by the hundreds of billions of dollars to foreign dictators like Zellensky who canceled elections and essentially got American journalist Gonzalo Lira killed in jail after arresting him for posting a critical YouTube video.
What “democracy” is America defending by pouring weapons/money into Ukraine?

“I like Russians far more than Ukrainians.”

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

If free and fair elections were allowed in Russia, Vladimir Putin would have been voted out by the Russian people long ago.

He has presided over the systematic destruction of the Russian economy—sky-high inflation, a key interest rate at a staggering 23%, collapsing infrastructure, underfunded hospitals, and shockingly low wages. Meanwhile, the wealth of the nation is funneled into a senseless war: +40% of the federal budget is poured into a military quagmire in Ukraine that, after nearly four years, has yielded nothing but devastation.

The once-massive National Wealth Fund is nearing depletion. Ordinary Russians face rising poverty while the Kremlin splurges on weapons and propaganda. There is no freedom to speak, to oppose, or even to mourn. Political opposition is banned. Independent media silenced. Criticizing the war can cost you five years in prison.

Over one million Russian soldiers are dead or severely wounded. Their bodies—many unclaimed, unnamed—are burned in mobile incinerators to cover up the scale of the catastrophe. Millions of mothers grieve in silence, not only their lost sons, but the loss of any voice in their country’s future.

This is not leadership. This is NeoSoviet tyranny draped in a flag. And it continues only because democracy in Russia has been deliberately banned.

Do you like that that Commie-like hell hole ? Really?

Your ignorance is insane and surreal.

Over 6,000 Ukrainians performed military service in Iraq and Kuwait during the war, including a permanent presence of 1,600, and 18 Ukrainians were killed.

“The once-massive National Wealth Fund is nearing depletion. “

What left is stock certificates with inflated values.

They can’t be sold as their values would drop.

Oligarchs own similar. It would cause a major market crash.

Yes, Ukraine participated in the Afghanistan conflict, primarily as part of the US-led coalition forces. After the September 11th attacks, Ukraine sent troops to support the US operations in both Iraq and Afghanistan. Specifically, Ukraine was one of the few countries to openly support US operations in Afghanistan from the beginning. They also helped evacuate personnel during the withdrawal of US and NATO forces.

“If free and fair elections were allowed in Russia, Vladimir Putin would have been voted out by the Russian people long ago.”

In the 2024 Russian presidential election, held from March 15 to 17, Vladimir Putin won with 87.29% of the vote, according to official results from the Central Election Commission after 99.76% of ballots were counted.
In addition Putun has approval ratings of over 80%.
Zelenskyy?
He cancelled the elections and rules as a dictator.

Again Ukraine is NOT a US ally and has never been a US ally.

Not true.

Ukraine participated as a US and NATO ally in Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan, per Wiki:

Ukraine allowed use of its airspace and airbases to the US and its allies, but only for cargo flights. Ukraine was a participant in the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force in Afghanistan and deployed troops as part of NATO's ISAF mission to the country. It contributed medical personnel supporting Provincial Reconstruction Teams, and provided instructors for NATO's Training Mission. After ISAF's mission ended in 2014, Ukraine supported the follow-on Resolute Support Mission (2015-2021) that trained, advised and assisted Afghan security forces.

And in Iraq and Kuwait, too, where they fought and took casualties, per Wiki:

Ukraine's involvement in the Iraq War was the largest military operation ever performed by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Over 6,000 Ukrainians performed military service in Iraq and Kuwait during the war, including a permanent presence of 1,600, and 18 Ukrainians were killed.
You're welcome.

Well you are part of the FRussian Mafia here. Of course you like Russians.

I wouldn’t know a Ukrainian if I hit one with my car. I don’t care about Ukraine.

I care that Russians invading other countries are killed. As many as possible. They don’t belong there. Go home and they won’t get killed.

If the Ukrainians kill Russians, than NATO won’t have to.

Look it up.
And I don’t remember Ukraine sending over $300 Billion to America like Biden sent to Ukraine including paying salaries of Ukraine civil servants.

Well, President Trump gave it a good try. I’ll give him all the credit for that. I really did believe that Putin wanted some way disengage and Trump gave him every opportunity to do so while saving face. To bad Vlad didn’t take him up on it. It would appear that he’s played Trump for a fool. Bad, bad decision. He’s had his FA moment. I really hoped it didn’t have to come to this but now he’s about to get the FO part.

You said Ukraine was NEVER a US or NATO ally and I gave you 3 examples: the war in Iraq, Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Resolute Support.

There may be other times Ukraine has been a US and/or NATO ally, but those were easy ones to find … even for me!

Deal with it … Ukraine is our (America’s) friend and has helped us/US in the past when we wanted help, so we, the people, have a bond of honor with Ukraine and should help them now in their time of greatest need, which we are doing.

“He cancelled the elections and rules as a dictator.”

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Why elections in Ukraine cannot be held right now.

First and foremost, President Zelenskyy was elected in a democratic landslide, winning his first mandate with an overwhelming 73% of the vote. This was a clear and decisive expression of the people’s will. Even the opposition parties validated the results, all went perfectly well. Now, even amidst the trauma of war, recent polls still show over 60% support for Zelensky — an extraordinary figure that, in peacetime, would again constitute a landslide.

The Ukrainian law forbids elections during a war. Every party in Ukraine agrees to that principle. It’s not even a political issue.
Thus, there is no credible democratic pressure demanding a new vote right now; the people continue to back the leadership that has guided them through the most perilous challenge in their modern history.

But beyond political popularity, there are urgent legal, logistical, and moral reasons why elections cannot be held under current conditions:

1. (Again) Martial Law and Constitutional limits
Under Ukrainian law, elections cannot be held during martial law — a status that has been in place since Russia’s full-scale invasion. This isn’t merely a procedural detail. Holding elections while martial law is active would be unconstitutional and illegitimate, undermining the very foundations of Ukrainian democracy and playing directly into the hands of Russian disinformation efforts.

2. Security threats:
Elections are not just about ballots and boxes — they are about free expression, safety, and civic participation. Right now, Russian missiles strike Ukrainian cities daily, targeting everything from power stations to apartment buildings. How can citizens campaign, assemble, or vote freely under the threat of aerial bombardment? Asking Ukrainians to participate in elections amid constant shelling is inhumane, chaotic, and dangerous.

3. Millions of Ukrainians Are displaced or under occupation
Roughly 8 million Ukrainians have been displaced, and millions more remain in Russian-occupied territories where Ukrainian media, internet access, and civil rights have been completely extinguished. In these regions, Russian forces commit war crimes, torture civilians, and enforce their rule at gunpoint. How can free, fair, and secure elections be held when a significant portion of the population is living under a brutal foreign occupation or scattered across the globe as refugees?

To try and force elections now would mean either:

Illegally excluding these citizens from the vote, disenfranchising millions.
Or pretending votes held under duress in occupied zones could be legitimate, which would be a grotesque fiction.

4. National Unity Must Take Priority
Right now, Ukraine is fighting for its survival. Forcing elections in wartime could also risk internal divisions, distracts from the war effort, and give ammunition to Russian propagandists who are eager to portray Ukraine as unstable and politically divided. What Ukraine needs now is unity, not unnecessary political rivalry. There will be time for peaceful democratic competition after victory — not in the trenches.

Vladimir Putin won with 87.29% of the vote,

LOL, anytime somebody wins 87% of the vote repeatedly, I'm pretty sure they either cheated or the system is rigged.

Guess which countries had rigged elections?

America held elections fine during the civil war which took a staggering over 500,000 lives (huge percentage of the population then) and held elections in WW I and WW II, so why can't Ukraine hold elections, since AMERICA AND OTHERS ARE PAYING FOR THEIR WAR?

Did Putin win with 87% of the vote?
Yup,
It was during a war.
Bush senior had like 90% approval during his war to kick Saddam out of Kuwait.
That's the highest I've ever seen.

America held elections fine during the civil war

Being a Civil War buff don't remember the time the South occupied 20% of the North, which then had millions flee the country and have nightly random bombings of all its cities.

Incredibly stupid comparison

England in WW2 cancelled its elections.
