“Nothing happens in a vacuum. Putin did not invade Latvia or Lithuania. Those are much smaller and easier to conquer.”
Your logic is false, as it denies facts. Latvia and Lithuania are members of NATO and have been since 2004. THAT is why Putin did not attack them.
“Most Americans are not familiar with the reasons for conflict between Russia and Ukraine.”
Most Americans understand Putin invaded Ukraine - not the other way around.
“US tax payers are crazy to pad on to fugly high national debt getting involved.”
The debt is due to mostly bloated domestic spending and bloated federal bureaucracies, not foreign aid.
Bidens giant domestic bills were the biggest waste and made the biggest increase in the debt. not the paltry aid to Ukraine.
Yes that’s what he said. Just another campaign promise he’s walked back on.
It doesn’t work that way. Nice try, trying to drag us into it though...
Because Putin’s INVASION of Ukraine is the first invasion by one European nation against another European nation since WWII...Well, except for the 2008 conflict with Georgia. And that little 2014 incursion into Crimea.
Why wasn't NATO ready to start WW3 back then?
Your facts are wrong as is your analysis.
NATO regularly and frequently holds NATO joint military exercises involving many divisions. And those joint maneuvers do not stop on Friday nite and resume on Monday.
This is just stupid, by Trump.
He is going what Nixon did with Vietnam, making the Democrats’ war his own.

Ukies really ramping up the retreat towards Victory 😉
“All Trump had to do to end the Ukraine war was cut off all aid and arms sales and it was over,”
The unconditional surrender of Ukraine was never an option nor is it now one.
All in one’s perspective. To ME, he walks on water without getting a drop of water on his shoes.
Trump is nothing if not flexible. Not because his values change, but because new information is constantly being reviewed against old information and decisions are modified by the best analysis of current data. He had a lot of input before he re-entered the Oval Office. He has more now. His goals remain the same. Stop people dying. His methods will change as he recognizes opportunities and moves around blockages.
There is no person alive I trust more than Trump. When I don’t understand what he’s doing, I remember that his sources far exceed the gossip or the releases I have access to and I wait to understand the situation better.
He’s my president because I trust his judgment and his ability to fight for principles I agree with.
Your positions may differ. I respect that.
oh no... the commie paid Putin butt kissers here are going to be really upset!
LMAO
You can see the positives in Putin’s position without being overly fond of his gloriously beautiful butt. You can also recognize the negatives while still enjoying that butt.
All positions have pluses and minuses to be constantly balanced and reassessed. I applaud when Putin does something I think goes in the right direction and cease clapping when I think he’s getting himself in over his head. I really think he needs to spend more time with Trump.
There is not one blessed good thing I can say about Putin’s Ukrainian opposite. If someday a moral and legal leader arises in that country, I’ll reconsider.
Kind of like how we got ourselves into a war on 9/11, and asked other countries to help us... Just because you don't have a formal alliance with a country doesn't mean you can't choose to aid them in some manner if they are attacked. For example, when we were attacked on 9/11 and NATO invoked Article V, Ukraine chose to send troops to fight alongside ours in Afghanistan even though they weren't a member of NATO, and had no obligation to be there.
Rather nice of them, don't you think?
If Ukraine had been a NATO ally when Russia attacked, Article V would have been invoked, and there would be a lot more than just some NATO weapons in Ukraine. It would be NATO aircraft piloted by NATO pilots, large NATO combat formations, etc..
But instead of sending combat formations to Ukraine to help, we have chosen to limit our assistance to intelligence sharing and the provision of weapons systems and munitions. As have other NATO allies.
(over 300 BILLION)
I’m disappointed in this. I fully understand Russia’s need for Crimea and the Sea of Azov for its security. Ukraine wants Russian territories but hates the ‘Orcs’ that came with those territories.
I suspect this is a miscalculation in everyone’s part. Absolutely no one is interested in backing down, this will end badly for the world.
You are right on the money, unfortunately most people don’t like to hear this. The US started to agitate long before the 2014 election in Ukraine and they they tried the same a while back in Kazakhstan but it was repelled. I hate to say and see it but the US is by no means blameless for stirring up trouble wherever they can and this happens to be an undeniable fact.
NATO countries, an organization to which America has contributed by far most of the costs amounting to hundreds of billions of dollars for decades.
“Just because you don't have a formal alliance with a country doesn't mean you can't choose to aid them in some manner if they are attacked.”
Of course you can chose to ignore them
Ukraine war has already cost American tax payers over $300 Billion, even as hundreds of thousands of Americans including American war veterans continue to sleep on the streets.
How does that make sense?
No American money. Europe/Ukraine are paying 100% of the cost of the weapons being supplied.
Russia is winning the war and has the leverage. Putin isn't bullshitting anyone. His held firm to his demands.
Nothing Trump approved will make any difference whatsoever.
Ukraine is running out of troops. It needs Patriot interceptors and missiles we don't have in sufficient numbers to give it.
