I heard that in the transcript, one pilot asks the other why the fuel switch is off.

It seems to me that all they need to do is bring in relatives/friends of the two guys to tell them who is who on the CVR.
National airlines and governments never want to come down pilot incompetence or intentional acts of sabotage. The Egypt Air crash with allah ackbar on the cockpit voice recorder is another example, ditto MH370.
That why I won’t fly with certain foreign pilots with qwerky customs and traditions.
It probably wasn’t the case in this instance, but the fuel cutoff switches can be installed disengaged. According to AI: “Yes, it has been reported that some Boeing 787 fuel control switches may have been installed with their locking mechanism disengaged, and the FAA issued a bulletin in 2018 recommending inspections of these switches on the 787 and other Boeing jets due to this potential issue. While the FAA’s advisory was not mandatory, it highlighted that a disengaged locking mechanism could allow switches to be toggled more easily, even unintentionally.”
I don’t think new switches had been installed on this aircraft, so that likely wasn’t an issue.
As to which pilot said what,in the unlikely case that the switches were inadvertently toggled in the above scenario, then no pilot is lying.
Scenario 2: The pilot who intentionally turned the switches off, lies and says he didn’t when questioned by the other pilot.
Scenario 3: The pilot who intentionally turned the switches off asks the innocent pilot why he did that to save face and cast the blame on the other pilot. The innocent pilot truthfully answers that he didn’t turn them off.
This is the logical next phase of this investigation. It’s inarguable that the engines were cut off intentionally at the worst possible time. Now it’s time for a deep dive into both pilots mental state. The answers will soon be clear.

Actually I was impressed with the transparent answers especially in light of the OUTRIGHT LIES told by the United States of America in regard to TWA Flight 800 which was shot down by a Aegis missile after takeoff, Raytheon involved and EVERYBODY from THEN PRESIDENT BILL CLINTON, THE FBI, THE CIA on down LIED and said it was some empty fuel tank explosion.
