Ford has a HUGE battery plant on I-65 in Kentucky that is just now about to open up. I cannot imagine they have enough demand to justify the extreme capital investment, without government requiring EVs. Which is no longer the case under Trump. $6 billion this article says.
The UK and continental Europe is still stuck on stupid where EVs are concerned - Ford of Europe can make use of the batteries.

I just read Nissan is going utilize the same Plant as there is capacity and Nissan needs to reduce tariff costs on their domestic builds.
the absolute stupidity of so many top level CEOs continues to astonish me ... pretty much anyone paying attention and who has at least a lick of common sense could see that the limited market was saturated for expensive vehicles mostly useful for making wealthy virtue signalers feel good about themselves ... and yet these fools keep investing billions as if the merry-go-round was never going to stop ... heck, Jaguar completely terminated production of ICE vehicles before they even had EVs ready to sell, as if they’re ever going to sell more than a couple dozen $200,000 pink EV Jaguars ...
