Wherever you stand on this, the whole thing is fascinating, and it’s not going away anytime soon. Most of us still support Trump. I’m personally not going to walk away from him over this one issue, after all the positives he’s achieved, even if I don’t agree with how this is being handled.
But one way or another the controversy is not going to go away unless there’s more disclosure, whatever that may be. If “the Epstein files” were all just hype and fabrication, then release more info. in order to make that case. On the other hand, if “the Epstein files” are real and has teeth, we need disclosure to the extent that’s possible without endangering lives or national security. Either way, the public hasn’t been given enough information.
I pointed out on another thread, that the timing of all this is interesting. We’re at a bit of a pause in Trump’s second term. It’s been 6 months and he’s just achieved many of his most important early objectives (e.g. BBB, tariff negotiations, Iran, success on the border). It’s almost as if he knew that, whichever way it ends up playing out, this issue was going to be controversial and wanted the country to be in a good place before having to deal with it.
