Chairman Powell seems to be responding to the power of suggestion. It’s hard to hold onto your job when you are placed in an untenable position in regards to your performance.

The Fed’s ordinary business management, of buildings, staff, etc., has been so negligently done that a LOT of money is under investigation, and a full-bore DOGE-type investigation could be both hilarious and deadly serious. Powell should get out of Dodge while he can.
